Epidemiologists opinions differ but only those that favour lock downs get a hearing form the govt and media. Best to listen to common sense.

Best example of this is the UK epidemiolgist that predicted US would have 2 million deaths by the end of 2020. He was off by 1.7 million. It created a absurd precedent for which Donald Trump could use to set a incredibly low goal for him to achieve.

If we are to trust the experts, why not this one? I mean based on this expert, US coronavirus effort is a enormous success, they did 6 times better then they should have.

Surely Aristotle should be here celebrating the US achievment

If the heat doesnt make a difference to the organism, then surely I should just put my lamb roast in the oven at 20 degrees? I mean the heat of something wont change the characteristics of it so it shouldnt matter if I have the oven at 20 degrees of 200. It should just cook the same id say

At least you're honest enough to admit you have changed your mind. Most people who supported the govts' policies at the beginning are still hanging onto their lock down position for dear life despite the evidence piling up against it. Although extremely sceptical right from the start, I did support closing borders and quarantine for those who still wanted to return. I don't support either of those policies now.

True. They don't show these affected Australian's in the media.
You would think it would be responsible of the media to show some of these affected Aussie's with scarred lungs to show and warn us of the results of this terrible disease and what has happened to so many everyday Australian's.
The economy isn't crippled per se it's just an incredible amount of money has been transferred to the already wealthy.
It's the biggest wealth shift in history.
The heavily increased wealth inequality is a pretty bum deal for the majority of the 7.5 billion people on planet Earth for at least many, many decades to come unfortunately.

Same I supported a temporary lockdown March on condition it was
Immediate and temporary and borders shut until we built a strategy.
2 things one there is no strategy. This should've been immediately done not PR for a couple of weeks while we figured it out (this actually triggered my suspicions as in a deadly virus and everyone is pontificating)
2 As more information comes to hand you change your mind (only idiots don't). And the more research I do and the more info that comes to light the more the people running this fear campaign look like idiots and worse are clearly pushing an agenda.

Lockdowns are hugely popular, if you hadn't noticed, and politicians only care about staying in power. The crippling debt and wave of future deaths from poverty and untreated illnesses are tomorrow's problem.
