Hang on, are you saying there will be just as many deaths from Covid as Spanish Flu?

I think it's an embarrassment with all the money we've blown on we could have basically solved world hunger years ago. No chance of that now.

That's some mighty fine virtue signalling you've go going on there... congrats!

So there you have it, US press secretary (lol) has stated, and I quote:

“Even after vaccinated, social distancing and wearing masks are going to be essential”.

Well, so much for those who think vaccinations mean the old normal will return. Nope, this is the future. But hey, flatten the curve! Take your vaccines everyone, normality soon to return yeah??!

Oh no, I have to wear a piece of cloth over my face sometimes... my world is coming to an end!

Ah I see. Someone who hasnt been impacted is telling us its not a big deal. You can pretend its a piece of cloth when the reality in W.A this week is

- No small businesses running
- Casuals without any pay
- Kids at home and without any learning, greatly harming their mental and social wellbeing
- Core non-elective surgeries cancelled
- Travel bans stopping familes from being together
- People stuck and unable to work up north and vice versa

But yeah, its just cloth on a mouth. I guess it is to someone like you so who cares what its like for others?

I dont really get the "If you die I feel bad. I will protect you" vs the reality of "Oh your dad is beating you? Just stay home for another week, stop complaining, its only 1 more week. Stay home and you will be back at school in no time"

Reality is with 1 case, what action is more likely? Domestic violence or the 0 Covid people in our active community getting sick?

I guess its really one thing. Someone else bashing their child doesnt impact Better Loosen Up so he doesnt care if they stay home or not. Covid could affect him so lock yourselves up and make sure he is safe

Spanish Flu - Little to no medical intervention or understanding of how viruses work.
Covid - Ventilators, Ecmo machines, drugs, decades of scientific knowledge.

The fact we will end up having just as many deaths in the end is an embarrassment on all of us, excluding medical workers. :$
Ventilators - now shown to do more harm than good for Covid patients.

Decades of scientific knowledge - that went into pandemic plans that considered and did not recommend most of the Covid actions (lockdowns, masks, border closures, shuttering schools and businesses). We threw those out in 2020 to embark on the world's largest scientific experiment instead.

Curious to know what drugs he is talking about? We got told none of the cheap ones work and we can only buy the extremely expensive constant in a vaccine to do anything

Nah, old Tiger Toffee is a grown adult who is petrified of having to wear a mask. :$

The mere fact that you mentioned this twice shows me that me not wearing a muzzle pisses you off. Enjoy wearing your muzzle for the rest of the year clown hahahahahaha, it's for the greater good right, quick wear a muzzle to stop the spread hahahahahahaha

Most victims of Spanish Flu died of bacterial pneumonia following influenza virus infection. This was noted from a review of 118 key autopsy series reports from the time, representing 8,398 individual autopsies conducted in 15 countries. Also, NIAID co-author and pathologist Jeffery Taubenberger, M.D., Ph.D., examined lung tissue samples from 58 soldiers who died of influenza at various U. S. military bases in 1918 and 1919.

The pneumonia was caused when bacteria that normally inhabit the nose and throat invaded the lungs along a pathway created when the virus destroyed the cells that line the bronchial tubes and lungs. You have to wonder whether wearing masks contributed to that secondary bacterial infection that caused most deaths. Fauci was a co-author of the study and maybe this knowledge was behind his initial recommendation that masks should not be used for COVID.

The one important medical intervention would have been antibiotics, because once bacterial pneumonia occurred, this would have been a death sentence for most without it. But this is not useful with just a virus.

You're badly mistaken with decades of scientific knowledge being put to use, as this knowledge of safe and effective therapeutics was brushed aside with the influence of big pharma with their main goal of peddling influence and making money.

You also make incorrect assumptions, possibly encouraged by the criminally wrong projections of Neil Ferguson's Imperial College, that COVID is as deadly as Spanish flu.

Sweden which didn't have hard lockdowns, school closures or any protections for it's aged care, has the same death per 100,000 of population on average as the last 7 -10 years and half that of Spanish flu.

Note that the worse case of deaths per 100,000 ever in Sweden is dysentery. As we've discussed here a few times there are still 1.4 million deaths in the world today from diarrhea type illnesses, with around 400,000 of those being children under 5.

SO around the same as COVID deaths and hundreds of thousands more children dying. Are we putting billions into preventing that with clean water and sanitation? No because the media and big pharma narrative is telling us to be fearful of something that is just as deadly as a bad flu and with deaths in the same age range, mostly people aver 84. And in the meantime the incalculable other damages and deaths because of lockdown are being ignored.

No way really, i can't believe it. The MSM told us this deadly highly contagious toxic UK strain was going to wreak havoc on Melbourne. I think they all need to be re-tested with the PCR cycles turned up to 45 just to make sure.

Australian Open in the clear as all tests come back negative after coronavirus scare

But but ... Boris said so?? Virus mutate all the time and our immune system deals with it and we know there are effective therapeutics which reduce the serious effects and deaths by 80%, if used early.

There is no evidence except some dubious modelling studies and using contact tracing data, Public Health England showed about 15 per cent of the contacts of people infected with the B117 variant subsequently tested positive for COVID-19, compared with 10 per cent of contacts of those infected with previous circulating SARS-CoV-2. https://www.abc.net.au/news/health/...issible-is-new-uk-covid-variant-b117/13053548

But in Australia, where the recently infected cases in Perth and Melbourne (and Brisbane?) had this "highly contagious" strain they infected no one!

Perth guard's three housemates have been tested three times and negative, 150 close contacts negative and 40,000 casual people in the same area negative.

We haven't started vaccinating in Australia and one UK analyst says more inforamtion is needed but there cold be a connection between excess deaths noted from late Dec.

Meanwhile, not saying there is a connection, but?

Joins Switzerland, France, Germany, Poland, Italy and Sweden who don't recommend the vaccine over either 55 or 65, because of a lack of efficacy data.

Problem is, in the over 65 age group 341 people were given vaccine and 319 given placebo and then only one in each group happened to get COVID. I say "happened" because none of the studies for the three vaccine approved so far, were designed for the participants to be challenged with or given SARS-CoV-2.

Not a problem for Australia's big pharma influenced TGA or Chief Health Officer apparently!

Amazing!! An expert dude (Professor Peter Collignon) on a mainstream media outlet has poured some water on the beat-up of the aerosol transmission bullshit

JFC the GD board now genuinely think vaccines are the reason cases are down in the US. Not the PCR testing changes...
I'm sick of caring about the "slobenly" majority. Fa'rk 'em! I wouldn't give a stuff if millions of them get bad reactions from potentially dodgy vaccines.
They're the same lazy plonkers who eat too much crap, drink too much, never exercise, and let themselves get obese.

In fact, I can't wait for the vaccines to cause some carnage here, just to watch the politicians squirm as they try to come up with bullshit excuses.
Bad reactions are easier to play down or ignore if it's happening on the other side of the world, but it'll be much harder to keep quiet with Aussies calling radio stations and talking to local tv reporters, etc, etc.

An unpopular opinion, in my opinion anyway, is that I have discovered that, regarding COVID, Science uses the same playbook that it, condemned or decried, Religion for using, such as fear, threats and intimidation as a means of coercion and indoctrination. In my observation anyway.

Trust the experts! (Not him, he's a contrarian shill)
