Even comparing it to this shows how morbid your idea of death is. Whether you like it or not, each death is not equal. A childs life is worth more then mine and mines worth more then a 95 year old. I tend to think alot of the "each life matters" people would be people who would watch a fire from a distance because there life is worth the same as whoevers inside the building. What are the core policies to improve healthcare in this country as a result of this? I seriously haven’t seen any. I’d expect at least reduced education costs to encourage nursing, improved employee benefits to encourage it, a mandate on hospitals per sqm for population with particular focus on improving rural healthcare which was a great point of exposure it was said.

At this stage I mean purchasing a few 3c pieces of cloth isn’t cutting it for me. I guess I’m not easily impressed. Wow a blue car

Hasn’t been posted here but in Bali, you will get a 12 month prison sentence for refusing the vaccine or a 50,000 dollar fine (AU equivalence). If you don’t have a vaccine certification also they will kick you out and send you home

I want policy changes now that might affect our current nurses now and in the future. You can go and tell after 5 years no more better working conditions, no more extra nurses and in general you are yesterday’s news so go away . Nothing was done now either though. They bought stuff they couldn’t use and then did nothing with it, most which seems to have been donated by the Chinese government also when you nut down to it.

A real policy change now would involve creating more hospitpal capacity like literally now. In Perth we have two empty hospitals recently closed down. Mark should have these opened up, staffed and ready to go should he not? You know, something that actually exists is what I’m getting at, it’s visible and actually helpful

I mean Victoria was so underresourced they couldn’t even create a Covid only hospital after what 9 months...

The DETECT Snapshot Program, which tested asymptomatic adults from a selection of employment groups, partnering with the Telethon Kids Institute tested 3000 school students in 80 schools, and 18,000 total tests there were zero, that is no community transmissions, without wearing masks.

I haven't worn a mask for about 3 months. No one stares at me or questions me in the supermarket. Everyone knows wearing a mask is pointless but most just mindlessly follow the rule. There's hardly any Sars-Cov-2 in the whole country, let alone in my area. Kids don't have to wear masks in supermarkets. You don't have to wear masks in restaurants or when you have visitors at home.

Unjustified, mandatory mask wearing in Victoria is an exercise in government overreach. It promotes an atmosphere of fear and confusion that we should reject.

Which is essentially what their vaccine is. You get it but it suppresses it and creates a quicker and stronger response so you don’t get seriously ill

It does seem to be a case of the media hating these style of vaccines and really pushing those mRNA ones. Gut feel is a ton of money being thrown around to make sure this is the narrative told

The only person in W.A who has been allowed in without any quarantine is Andrew Forrest. Forrest contracted Covid early 2020 during a trip to his home country China. He applied for a exemption to not quarantine since he already had it and was granted a exemption from any quarantine. Three weeks after Forrest was granted his exemption the rules were changed to not allow this exemption.

In 2021, Forrest was the first person to come from NSW or a quarantine state without having to serve any more quarantine time once returning to W.A as he was given a exemption from his time in NSW

So in WA you have to wear a mask while driving if anyone is also in the car, including immediate family members. This is unreal. Struggling to wrap my head around this.

These rules are stupid regardless but with no cases atm, it's totally ridiculous

We've had it very smooth since our initial lockdown in the middle of last year. It made everyone complacent over here (complacent to the bullshit that people like Dan Andrews do). From chatting around the last week, most people;

-Straight out love McGowan without question, our benevolent leader is 100% right. (55%)
-Are doing it because they won't want to get in trouble. (20%)
-Are going along to "be on the safe side". (5%)
-Don't give a shit either way, just doing it cause they have to (they don't but whatever). (5%)
-Think it's a huge overreaction. (14%)
