The problem isn't that Premiers are taking advice, it's that they're only taking advice from overly cautious people

Ever been to a GP and they give a sick certificate for 4 days and you feel fine the next. These people are way too cautious and there's no advice they're listening to that opposes this caution. Then we see entire states shut down over 2 people being sick (not proper sick either, just told they are which is a sham in itself)

No one outside that health official could possibly think that's a just action. They need to start listening to economists as to the damage being done, real estate experts, small businesses etc. The damage being done FAR outweighs what covid could have done

People have been saying this for 6 months ffs. It's insanity but people are just blindly supporting their premier like it's their footy team

Cancer screenings down 40% in 2020. Where's the health advice on this?! Oh, it isn't covid, doesn't matter...

Thats a very generous take on things. The intent is much stronger id say. They are taking the advice they want to hear from people who have been paid by big pharma to tell these people said advice.

So you think we have public health officials, employed by the government, that are secretly on the take by some amorphous 'big pharma' syndicate and giving overly cautious health advice because one day that will lead people to take a vaccine?

If so, I'd be interested in any evidence you have.

We have posted tons of evidence before about AstraZenecca paying Chinese officials for TGA approvals on their shithouse products and the like. Ill be honest and say im making a assumption, but if AstraZenecca dont want me to make shithouse assumptions about them they probably shouldnt be caught in shithouse positions all the time?

You are enormously naive if you think this is true. Yesterday for example W.A govt just sacked half of its gambling regulators for taking financial benefits from Crown. Corruption is rife, even in Australia....

Yep. Ironically enough if you dig through regulations, laws and who gets what we are on par with Indonesia. They are just more honest about it.

GPs aren't been listened to with this. GPs (and I've had my issues with them in the past and mean no direspect) are the triage of the "front line". They are not going to deal with bullshit asymptomatic cases (they'd tell you to **** off) but if you get the flu they'll send you straight to ICU. They treat as they see and test. Also in most cases they are not raking in the millions from Big Pharma but business owners themselves. Problem is they don't have time to wade through this crap so are reliant on what they're told higher up the chain. (As is everyone in their jobs).

Exactly what I've said before. If you get ****ing covid or anything else go to a GP get tested, diagnosed and treated.
What's driving to a random clinic and getting a swab going to do? And if you're symptomless WTF are you even getting tested? Madness.

I don't have FB

If you think the reaction to the virus isn't worse than it, you're a smooth brained campaigner

Enjoy your jobseeker payments and Netflix while it lasts though, it ends soon. Then you go back to having no social life & no job like the rest of you covid cheering carnts

No jobseeker or even Netflix here mate

The MSM says it is a sh*t show. It’s a shame that the death stats from 2020 compared to previous years say otherwise. Go back to your punting forum where your form is just as impressive.

Now Lebbo, more than happy to accept our differences here but as for attacking my punting form, that's struck a nerve! Though you probably do have a point...

This sort of thing needs an immediate explanation from Dan Andrews and the media need to hold him accountable. First he falsely maligned the nebuliser guy, now there are serious doubts over these exposure sites. You don't have to be a conspiracy theorist to say something is not right here surely!

Personally, I fail to believe a Bonbons Bakery would be closed 2 days per week, every week....

Do you think politicians in Australia are ignoring health advice, or accepting it?

I don't trust political leaders, but I do trust an epidemiologist who has dedicated their life to the study of infectious diseases.
Epidemiologists are not unanimous in how best to deal with this e.g. Great Barrington Declaration. They are also not experts in the wider social or economic considerations; that is the preserve of political leaders who should operate with balance.

I was thinking today about a quote I read many weeks ago

Self-sabotage is when our fear of loss is higher than our desire for gains.

Its the driving force of lockdown. We are so fearful of lifes lossed from Covid, we are ignoring lives/benefits gained from the alternative. Its just so weird that such a basic life principle is occuring at this level. The more perspective I gain, the more I pity the likes of owen. They must be in bad headspaces at the moment. All the best guys

Accepting certain health advice blindly.

Ignoring all other respected doctors and epidemiologists who don't fit the narrative.

Accepting the worst scenario as the thing you react with I suppose to be even more specific.

I mean with this logic Im really perplexed as to how and why Dan Andrews owns and drives a car if im being honest. It makes absolutely no sense given his current decision making policies

Says a lot that a supposed "meat-head" is smarter than the phoney doctors, phoney scientists and faux "premier" called **** you dandemic*

*verbal tic I do apologise.

So explain how this is about public health...

I was watching some other podcast the other day and we got a mention too. What's going on here is being noticed everywhere. Embarrassing.

Lolsboes! Dozens of police (the report says, but I heard on the radio it was 50!) go to close a gym that's not suppose to be open. Gee, it's lucky that many wallopers were there to catch the real crooks. :rolleyesv1: On ya Dan, ya lying, fat f**k-head; good use of your goon squad

If all of the cops were like Chief Wiggam they would have needed dozens, it was a gym after all :tearsofjoy:

On channel 9 news tonight they interviewed one of the guys in hotel quarantine from the hotel where the people had to be moved. He's in with the ones that tested positive even though he didn't. He said he tested negative three times in five days but because he had a cough they put him with the positive cases anyway. This is so bloody dodgy. Now do people understand where they get all these 'cases' from?

Gerard Healy said last night that when "someone he knows" was leaving quarantine (I think his brother Greg), about 10 of the leavers found themselves inadvertently mingling with about 20 people who'd just arrive to be locked up. Talk about Keystone Cops stuff
