Gee that makes me so bloody wild, the State cutting out the parents from decision making re their own children's health is dystopian, menacing and repugnant. And offer inducements in free ice cream ahhh f..k.

How do you get it through their thick f....g skulls that healthy children are at nearly zero risk of a bad health outcome from Covid..... and it's total bullshit that asymptomatic children can be super spreaders.:mad::mad:

The ice cream thing I get - that’s dumb. Doubt it particularly works. I imagine the uptake would be extremely low.

But at what age do you think they should be able to make medical decisions about their own bodies? I wouldn’t want that changed to be honest. Could be a much more dangerous path.

I have a 13 year old grandchild(turns 14 soon) and a just turned 16 year old, no way in the world those 2 boys should be making their own health decisions, parents must be involved up to 17-18 IMO, unless they are absent/delinquent parents, in which case a singular medical professional should be consulted, not a medical goliath like a health department.

They already can according to law. In my opinion a teen should be able to safely have an abortion or get chemo treatment for cancer if it’s their decision. Even if that goes against parents wishes. Their body and I think they should be able to seek medical advice and make decisions. Hopefully it involves parents nearly all of the time. I know that’s not always the case unfortunately.

Did a bit of reading on the ice-cream thing. It wasn’t some advertisement to get people. Was just a warm day and they handed out some to people in line. That’s more palatable I guess.

The problem is that other childhood vaccinations are traditional vaccines made with a small piece of the bacteria that have been thoroughly researched and reported on over many years and tested on children before being included in the childhood vaccination schedule by governments.

These are experimental injections of mRNA or adenovector simian DNA never before approved for human use, not tested on any children under 16 or 18 in initial tests, where phase 3 trials are still ongoing and medium and long term effects of the injection are unknown, and where the immune effect (which doesn't stop a person getting or passing on the virus but having less severe symptoms) has only been shown to last months.

All this for a virus that is not only harmless for children, research suggests if they contract the disease they will have long term or permanent immunity.

I’m with you. My boys won’t be getting it (are under 12 years of age anyway). I’m just trying to put it in context of law I guess. It’s nothing particularly new or unique to Canada. And I think picking and choosing to change those laws could also be pretty dangerous.

Do you think troops coming back from the WW1 helped spread the virus with the Spanish flu and the travel bans helped stop this one ?
There is a published study that Fauci was involved in that analysed over 8000 autopsies and exhumation of soldiers that died from "Spanish flu" and it was found they actually died from bacterial pneumonia.

There are some that say wearing masks and rebreathing the virus particles contributed to that. I'm not sure but no one in Western Countries wore masks for any other serious flu since then, until now.

If antibiotics were invented then, which aren't effective against viruses, they would have saved many millions of lives.

I think we have almost as strong rules in WA, although I think you still need parental permission to inject at school when they do the HPV jabs.

Although McClown initially said all school children would have to have the injection or not go to school and with emergency powers he can do that, I hope he's realised that this is experimental, never approved before for humans and not tested on children, for an infection that isn't dangerous at all to them. WA's own testing in school DETECT, in 10,000 cases (including 3000 children) didn't find any cases of children infecting adults.

The interesting part is that some researchers suggest with their high TCell counts they deal with the infection quickly and if they pass anything on it is "immunity".

Spanish Flu was still spread by mass movement after WW1 and Ronna was slowed by reducing it, which was my point

I get your point and previous plagues etc were fairly contained in the area they originated in.

But my point is it wasn't the flu that killed them, it was bacterial pneumonia. The Rona is is many times less serious than the "Spanish flu". Also we have medications like antibiotics to knock off pneumonia, as well as safe and effective IVM, HCQ, Zn, Vit D,C which are all shown to significantly decrease Rona symptoms and deaths.

Sweden which didn't put in hard restrictions or protect their aged population, only found excess deaths in over 75 year olds. So the world could have achieved far less deaths using these medicines, reducing comorbidities (like programs to reduce obesity) and protecting advanced aged instead of any lockdowns or restrictions on movement, which not even the WHO recommended.

A team of scientists from the United States has recently compared the immune response elicited by natural severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection and coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination.

The findings revealed immune responses induced by natural infection is striking better than from Pfizer mRNA COVID injections.

By specifically analyzing the B cell clonal expansion, the scientists indicated that the increased interferon response during SARS-CoV-2 infection might have induced the differentiation of plasma cells in COVID-19 patients. In contrast, the vaccine seemed to trigger the expansion of circulating memory B cells.

Furthermore, they observed enrichment of activated T cells and natural killer cells with a high level of cytotoxic effector functions in COVID-19 patients. However, they could not detect such an immune signature in vaccinated individuals.

T-Detect COVID Test is a next generation sequencing based (NGS) test to aid in identifying individuals with an adaptive T cell immune response to SARS-CoV-2, indicating recent or prior infection with SARS-CoV-2.

This is interesting as a test for TCell immunity should indicate if you've had SARS CoV 2 where TCells are produced after antibodies disappear.

Because natural immunity is stronger and long lasting or permanent, if the push for "vaccine passports" comes in, this test should be far superior to any vaccination proof.

are they allowed more than 5 people at sporting events yet ?

Absolute load of horse shit that opinion mate. No offense but I deal with this a lot in my line of work and I can honestly say we would have hoards of children not willing to undergo chemo out of fear of losing there hair if they were given that level of control. If it was left up to the children I strongly suspect we would have around 30% of people refusing treatment.

Now I think about it I am a tiny bit offended. This is a issue I have at the moment. People in no position at all to have a opinion having one and in turn I guess drowning out the opinions that matter. A large reason our nursing fraternity has to go on strike today. Govt refuses to listen to them and simply will only listen to you if you wear a suit. Sad state of affairs really

Children or teens that would reject treatment? You have that law now and you said yourself that you are not seeing many people reject chemo. That is because it is the current medical advice. This law is in place to help guide people to the current science.

Both. Itd be a ****ing headache to prevent teens from refusing chemo. Just throwing more work at the industry for nothing more then peoples own selfish reasons.

Spanish Flu was literally 10 times more deadly and severe in regards to recovery and treatment time though. A nonesense comparison

A bit egotistical to even make the comparison and well insulting to the Anzacs who came home with it id say. Dont compare your "hardship" with that. Be a better person

You said yourself it doesn’t happen which is great. You’d hope family are involved in decisions like that and that they’d follow medical advice.

What egotistical comparison ?

That closing borders slowed Ronna and troops returning from WW1 spread Spanish Flu

Would have thought that was just facts wasnt deliberate or avoidable just what happened ....pull your head in

And yet in the past year my at the time 15yo son couldn't receive the meningococcal vaccine until i gave my parental consent.
