Squiggle tips Saints at 51% chance -- What's your tip? -- Team line-ups »
the most momentous challenge is the one that faces the code, rather than the AFL: it is the task of getting thousands of local community players and volunteers, from Broome to Beaumaris, on the park for competitive matches.
In 2020, the person who plays the position of COVID safety officer will be more essential to your team's function than the ruckman, best midfielder or coach. The local team, in any competition, cannot train and play without a CSO. Fitzroy president Joan Eddy believes the role of CSO involves such commitment that her club plans to share it between six or more people. The only formal qualification will be completion of AFL Victoria online training, but he or she will need a willingness to enforce COVID-19 protocols and a commensurate thick hide.
Footy's greatest COVID challenge: the grassroots game
The greatest, or gravest, challenge confronting the game of Australian football in this pandemic isn't the loss of coaches and staff, the pay cuts, the reduction in television dollars and sponsors, or the debt clubs will ratchet up.www.theage.com.au
Anyone here hoping to to be a COVIDSafeT Moderator in their football code at their club?
Are you going to shower at home before and after every training session or match? The illogical rules wouldnt be followed to closely with me 'enforcing' them.
Dont think our showers have worked for 5 years. Wont be doing anything different to previous seasons in that regardAre you going to shower at home before and after every training session or match?
Social distancing won't be a problem on your team thenDont think our showers have worked for 5 years.
The inevitable complaining has started earlier than I thoughtCall for 100 person dine-in limit to bring back jobs
Restaurants, pubs and cafes say they must be allowed more dine-in patrons and the “arbitrary” 4sqm rule has to be abolished if the sector is to make a dent in the wave of unemployment gripping WA.thewest.com.au
What do all you Sandgropers (including honorary ones) think of the AHA's pleas?
AFLX was ahead of it's timeSports clubs restart but some struggle to survive
As community sports clubs stutter back to life, questions about when and how they will be allowed to play are only some of their worries.www.afr.com
Maybe “rock, paper, scissor”, at AFL bounce downs and throw ins too, so that the umpires do not have to touch the ball during the game, or just heads and tails if that is too complicated for some.
Not showering in unsanitary s**t holes in groups of 10+ should be the easiest thing to give up in this whole covid change hahaSocial distancing won't be a problem on your team then
Actually, I was referring to the FNSW return to training directive, in line with the Nationwide phased AIS guidelines for return to training for all ball sports requirement, that all players from young to old must shower AT HOME (home of the player - not home ground of the club/team),Not showering in unsanitary s**t holes in groups of 10+ should be the easiest thing to give up in this whole covid change haha
That hasnt been brought up that we have to shower before coming to training tbh. Not sure how that would be policed but our manager ran through our specific rules and nothing of the sort was mentionedActually, I was referring to the FNSW return to training directive, in line with the Nationwide phased AIS guidelines for return to training for all ball sports requirement, that all players from young to old must shower AT HOME (home of the player - not home ground of the club/team),
before going each training session and after each training session. Training/club ground shower and change room facilities are to be closed for now in the initial return to training
SA have probably skipped that stage of the phased AIS guidelines because of the lower than NSW rates of infection. That hasnt been brought up that we have to shower before coming to training tbh. Very bizarre guideline really. Again stinks of idiots an office trying to feel powerful pushing nonsense rules outSA have probably skipped that stage of the phased AIS guidelines because of the lower than NSW rates of infection.
Either that or the Sports bodies and/or State Government took one look at that requirement, thought WTF! and quietly ignored it.
Team officials need to keep an attendance record of players involved in training seasons. They can either use the FNSW template or take photos of the training session. These attendance records are essential as they will be used if there is a need to undertake contact tracing.
Fair enough too. None of the restrictions make sense and people won't follow dumb restrictions. And as I said, fair enough as well.If human nature runs true to form, any regulations will be followed for about 2 weeks by the masses and then dwindle back into normality
By reptile Park do they mean Parliament ?All we got in NSW this morning was to be able to go to the Zoo, Reptile Parks and Aquariums from 1 June.
Hard to decide which to go to first.
Or they have no idea of the world outside of thier office.Very bizarre guideline really. Again stinks of idiots an office trying to feel powerful pushing nonsense rules out
Piss off, a shower beer with the lads after a filthy muddy game is probably the best part of a winters Saturday arvo. You probably showered in your footy gear and only if they were sectioned off with the doors closed. Good news this morning,
From 1 June, in Victoria,
beauty therapy, tanning, waxing, nail salons, spas, tattoo parlours and massage parlours may reopen with up to 20 patrons.
Might be a lot of Victorians not turning up for work on Monday week.
Is it even physically possible to do all the above in one day?
