Real world we cannot stay locked at home under the blankets

if as double vaxed they say your under 30% chance to catch COVID although it be mild
Then under 5% chance to go to hospital
Add those together it is under 1% chance.
Yes I can spread it to the unvaxed although eventually comes a time they had a chance
and made a choice

Spare me. I understand the sentiment of protestors but there are other ways of getting your point across then organising a rally of a few thousands protestors when the rest of us are locked down and unable to go anywhere.

It's idiotic in the extreme and anyone who isn't within their 5k radius without a valid reason should absolutely be dealt with by the long hand of the law. Those that are deliberately inciting and coordinating these bullshit protests in defiance of health orders probably should have charges brought against them. Let's be honest many of these clowns are itching to resist an arrest and no wonder fights break out. That's on the protestors though, not the police.

Let them do as they please and next time we have 10000 protestors instead of a few thousand protestors. That event will be then used to justify another lockdown extension by Dictator Dan and we all suffer.

Like I said I get the sentiment of the protestors, this lockdown has been handled diabolically by Andrews & co. The reality is protests do absolutely nothing to get a point across or get us any closer to freedom.

How exactly do you equate my post with loving cops? I'm against dumb protestors and against allowing them to do what they want when we can't do anything. It would be better off if the cops didn't have to be involved.

Might as well cancel the lockdown if we let protestors do as they please per your suggestion. I'm all for that.

So to clarify, you think the State Government should be allowed to decide what protests do or don't go ahead? And use the police to enforce those decisions?

Under the current State of Emergency rules... yes. This protest serves absolutely no benefit to anyone.

You should start up a career in strawman arguments, you really are a specialist at it. I've stated many times there are other ways getting your point across that don't breach our bullshit lockdown laws which the rest of us follow at a great cost to us all.

Anyone who isn't within a 5km radius of their home for a valid reason absolutely should be dealt with by Police.


There's nothing stopping all of these clowns gathering within 5km of their house and walking the streets protesting while following the rules the rest of us are forced to abide by, exercise, 2 hours etc etc.


Start petitions, get involved in politics. All measures that can be used to get your word across.


Suggesting protestors should be allowed to simply ignore all the lockdown laws is stupidity of the highest order. If you're going to allow protestors to ignore that stuff then cancel the lockdown.

Imagine all the "protests" that will be organised on AFL GF day if protestors are allowed to ignore lockdown laws as a couple of posters are suggesting here.

Might organise my own "protest" with mates at the local park, complete with a TV / portable power and a dozen camp chairs.
