Bloody piss poor from City. Hopefully The FA goes as hard on them as if it were their men’s team. How disrespectful those in society doing the right thing, and the NHS staff treating the masses.

What did they do against FA or government rules?

Unless we know what the four players were doing over there (the club say it was a commercial trip with their full approval) we don't know whether they've gone against government advice or not. I thought we might have seen with Walker that just because someone tweets something it doesn't make it fact.

But if they've not broken FA or government rules, how on earth can the FA come down hard on anyone?

You can't be punished for going against advice/recommendations.

An investigation into how this was approved really should be in order. Travel is only approved for essential purposes that can't be done from home. Can't really see how the trip could be justified as essential in these times. And if the trip really wasn't essential government rules have been broken.

Travel wasnt subject to approval by anyone.

Travel wasnt subject to approval by anyone.

Tier 4 rules Covid rules:

You can only travel internationally – or within the UK – where you first have a legally permitted reason to leave home

I see the only legally permitted rules to leave home as travelling to purchase supplies (must be as close to home as possible), essential work that can't be done from home (must be in an approved category) health purposes (again as close as possible to home) and education where it cannot be done from home.

So the travel was subject to approval. It must have been submitted as essential travel for elite sport. Which seems very dodgy - I can see no reason (unless Man City women were playing a competitive competition in Dubai) for travelling overseas.. Certainly warrants an investigation.

Restrictions are even tighter on inbound UK arrivals in UAE. Imagine that isn't a problem though with Mansour being deputy PM of the country.

Have you seen the amount of cases in the lower leagues?
Yeah only going to get worse by the looks of it. PL 40 cases this week

Sadly its not against the law for these footballers to be covidiots.

Common sense isnt for everyone.

112 staff/players in the Championship tested positive this week at a rate of 3.2%... FA Cup is going to be full of 15 year olds.

Mourinho isn’t wrong. If we progress deep in the competitions we are in then the schedule is jam packed, and that’s without what looks like 2 league match postponements.

So Dyche wants footballers moved up the vaccination queue, Dick Pound wants olympic athletes all vaccinated.

May as well put vaccination spots up for auction.
His argument about saving costs that could be then put into the MHS is fair enough but the overall premise fails to read the room.

Vaccinating perfectly healthy elite athletes ahead of the vulnerable or elderly is hardly going to be well received by the public. Needs most basis needs to be applied.
