It’s like this.

Too many Dildoes have been allowed back into the Country. If it was up to me only those with very good reasons, like a dying relative, would be allowed back into the Country. Now that’s on Morrisons.

Using Shady Security Firms to look after returned Overseas Travellers in Hotel Quarantine was a major utensil up. Now if it was up to me the Army would’ve been looking after that s**t. Now that’s on Andrew.

And sadly we have a number of Dead Set Bozos waltzing about without a care in the world, spreading the disease.

The Bottom Line is that there is a Plethora of *******s out there. So stay safe. Watch Youporn. And crank yourself silly. That should pass the time. :stern look

C) is the result of people procreating with relatives.

This virus is only an issue if you have serious respiratory issues.

If you do, take the appropriate precautions.

The selfish campaigners that can’t follow instructions, well I hope they find themselves face to face with a large carnivorous animal in the JLT too distant future.

Sorry TPA, but that part is just not true. There's been plenty of people with no pre-existing conditions, respiratory or otherwise, and not "old" either, who have died from this. I happen to personally know of two, in my own life. And I'm in a country with above average health care for folks who do get sick with this.

From the Guardian:

Some newly confirmed figures are coming out of the Russian statistics agency and being reported by Reuters. They date back to May, but are useful to get a baseline for how much coronavirus affected the country.

They say that in May 2020, there were nearly 173,000 deaths registered in Russia. Of these, 12,452 deaths were those with suspected or confirmed Covid-19. My quick back-of-the-envelope calculation suggests that is 7.2% of deaths in May in Russia were recorded as being coronavirus related.

But, the statistics authority is also reporting that Russia registered 11.9% more deaths in May 2020 in total than in May 2019.

This is similar to patterns we have seen elsewhere, that excess deaths have occurred at a higher rate than the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases alone.

It also lends support to theories that Russia was under-counting cases and deaths at the start of the outbreak. Last month Moscow’s health department said 5,260 people had died from coronavirus in the city in May, which was a far higher number than the 1,895 deaths reported by Russia’s coronavirus crisis response centre at the time.

According to the Johns Hopkins University coronavirus tracker, Russia now has the fourth-highest incidence of Covid-19 in the world, with over 712,000 cases, and 11,000 deaths.

I honestly thought we were past the stage of people thinking that unless they were in a "high risk" category they are perfectly fine to go about their business. I guess not.

People seem to be getting more dumberer and more dumberer by the day. Which leads me to a conundrum. Every day I learn that there is more and more that I don't know. So am I getting smarter or dumber? I reckon I am getting dumber by percentage 🙃

The major issue is not deaths per se but the fact that there are long term issues with recovery. Post viral syndromes ( chronic fatigue etc ) seem to be occurring in a large number of ‘recovered’ cases. Management is the key here. It may be something that can never be managed and will become a fact of life and then natural selection will play a part. Sad.

173,000 deaths in Russia in May alone WTF! And only 12.5k as Coronavirus. If I were them I wouldn’t be overly worried about Coronavirus I would want to know what’s wiped out 160,000 other people.

Here's a figure from the US:

There were approximately 781 000 total deaths in the United States from March 1 to May 30, 2020, representing 122 300 (95% prediction interval, 116 800-127 000) more deaths than would typically be expected at that time of year.

Plenty will probably see this as an "opportunity":

FRANKSTON POLICE STATION CLOSED AFTER OFFICER TESTS POSITIVE

Frankston police station has been closed and several officers are self-isolating after a police officer tested positive to coronavirus. The constable was on-duty when he became unwell on Tuesday. He underwent a COVID-19 test and was self-isolating when the results came back positive. Authorities are working to determine if the officer had contact with members of the public while contagious. Several police officers who had spent time with him are self-isolating as they await COVID-19 test results.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the station was immediately closed and will undergo a professional deep cleaning before reopening. “Contact tracing is currently underway to establish how many Victoria Police officers had contact with the infected officer during the past 14 days,” she said. “The member had been on leave and only returned to work on July 6.”

The Herald Sun has been told the officer had been patrolling the Frankston area in a car on Monday and Tuesday. Infection investigators are working to determine how he contracted the virus and will notify members of the public who need to be tested. “While the station is closed, local area service delivery will not be impacted,” the police spokeswoman said. “Victoria Police’s priority first and foremost is to ensure the safety of its people and the community.”

I agree, its fleshlight time! I've been flogging myself raw since March.
Always thought it was "Wristy".... Is this one of those things that Vics and South Aussies say differently?

I realise some believe I'm responsible for this outbreak cause Dan told you so. I'll leave this here for those interested....

" The commonwealth offered the deployment of the Australian Defence Force, for free, to the states for the task of managing hotel quarantine. Every state that accepted this offer has not had one single transmission of the virus".

actually the reverse is true, people are getting smarter, there was always a critical mass of fools, only now are people realizing this.

sheesh, who would have thought tim smith would be critical of the sitting government! regardless i dont need his ramblings to know that for whatever reasons getting a few part time 2 bit security guards to do a job that the ADF or AFP should have been responsible for.

my rationale is far more simple, look at the character checks and requirements to get a job in both those agencies (ADF or AFP) compared to rocking up wearing a black shirt with a cardboard number pinned to the pocket.

So you don't believe gutless Dan is responsible for this mess?

I think my IQ is now in the single digits after reading that 'article' and the subsequent comments.

i virtually admitted the decision had knobs on it, my point was i didnt need the opposition leader to point it out to me.
If truth be told the Opposition Leader did not post that article on BigFooty. The Comedian Tim Smith didn’t either. A Poster who once was a Thunderbird did. A person who served the Community via International Rescue with aplomb. A credible person to believe if you ask me. If he is telling yah something, you listen. :stern look

You're funny man Zonds. It is so true that smart posters on an internet forum would be upset, so they should I'm not rootin' because I can't travel. I can't go to a pub , cause they aint allowed to be open.

Tender Touch I heard may close up shop as the punters can no longer get in the backdoor! I can't see my kids, cause I can't travel. But that's ok cause dumbo is in-charge and blame cannot be apportioned, it's the people fault. Dan will tell ya's that.

Adding to my woes Ms Lisa decided it was time to tell the Lord of War that i exist. Not sure when we discussed that. I was thinking give it a while see how we go- say 30 years.

3hours 45 from his place to my front door. allow say a 5 minute delay at checkpoint Charlie. So I anointed my Choc lab Bruce as minister for security. I did interview other companies but Bruce seemed the best qualified.
