I'm looking for humour anywhere I can get it at the moment.

2 kids overseas. Unable to talk any sense into them . This tsunami is coming and they still refuse to acknowledge it.

Medical facilities in some countries are going to be beyond helping a lot of people.

Is it possible you're worrying a bit too much?

The immediacy and impact of the protocols to be adopted/encouraged/enforced is rocking everything.

All because one country cooks bats, cheers China

Ok what I am confused about is this notion of 'peak', or flattening the curve etc, in relation to temporary bans of gatherings/lockdowns etc.

I guess the idea is to stop high rates of infections to stop that mass of cases, but if and/or when the rates are at a more sustainable rate, will gatherings be allowed? Sporting events open to the public? Won't any new spread/rise of infections restart the whole shebang?

Obviously I am not knowledgeable about these things/ the broader economic issues etc.

If 50% of the population get it during the slow down and our medical system can cope there’s only another 50% left to get when we open up again. And the system can cope.

Figures are wrong but that’s the principal

FLV the answer to your 2nd paragraph is yes.

We are particularly vulnerable in Aus because the peak will be coming into our winter.

If you get the Flu and Covid on top it's just about goodnight.

These days the information from world leaders and specialists in pandemics and viruses is easily accessible on the internet so if anyone can be bothered they can bring themselves up to speed.

What stood out to me in that article, is that Gil has asked each club to save $1 million, and that this likely means job loses.
One million a drop in the ocean if clubs don't get anywhere near their usual distributions at year's end ranging from $14 million to $24 million
Not to mention any other income loss especially if season cancelled as some feel may be necessary.
The players are on contract so will have to be paid no matter what happens

Going to be a lot of cheap merchandise available this year.

Just in
Scomo not to attend Sharks match
Cabinet not to be isolated because of Dutton
I actually thought Sco Mo had a few brains.

Its hard getting yourself elected when you're given no hope.

But his behaviour and the things he's said in the initial stages of this health crisis indicate to me that he's just clueless , and deceptive as well.

Just so people know forget about toilet paper. We can produce enough toilet paper in this country for everyone to have dysentery for the rest of the year.

What you need to stock up on are drugs, especially any essential drugs for your well being. Paracetemol ,flu tablets to ease temperature.

Because the majority of our drugs are produced in China and India . The West is completely under prepared if those supply chains ever dried up.
