This guy has been charged with a serious offence, he's only 18 years old but an example should be set I think.

A Victorian man has been arrested after flouting coronavirus restrictions five times in just 10 days.

The 18-year-old Sunbury man was busted breaching COVID-19 health directions five times in the Caroline Springs area.

He has been charged with one count of reckless conduct endangering life and five counts of persistent contravention of COVID-19 directions.

He’s been remanded in custody and will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

No words.

ye but what happened before the film starts?
we have seen this all before, the George Floyd incident is the perfect example. People are too quick to judge without understanding the full story.

Regardless, he could have turned her and had her arrested, face away from his to reduce risk of transmitting a virus (no mask right?), in less than two or three seconds. Flip and cuff her. End of story, nobody would care?

true, but it’s easy to see how the media can manipulate stories to suit a certain agenda

This is so shocking, this cop could have been killed and he's been exposed to coronavirus at the same time.

What a crazy world we live in

The incident itself is serious but driving away after the serious incident proves it was no accident. I can't fathom why this wouldn't attract 20-30 years jail.

It looks quiet but this lockdown is showing us where all the nutters are. It's quite bonkers out there.

That cop has had to go into isolation now, another one out of action.

Jahdon Tamati was remanded to Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.

He was charged with aggravated intentional and reckless exposure of a police officer to risk by driving, assaulting police, resisting arrest, theft of a motor vehicle and numerous traffic offences.

Two women charged for breaching quarantine in WA
Two South Australian women have been charged after allegedly escaping from hotel quarantine after flying into Western Australia overnight.

The women, aged 19 and 22, were refused entry to WA and were taken to a CBD hotel until return flights to Adelaide could be arranged.

Police say they caught a taxi to a unit block in Coolbelup in the early hours of the morning before being taken into police custody.

The women have been charged with failing to comply with a direction under WA's Emergency Management Act.

They're due to appear in court this afternoon.

Hotel quarantine procedures throughout Australia seriously need to be reviewed. These sort of incidents are happening time after time. What is wrong with everyone?

I'm not sure why we let South Australians into the state, regardless of COVID or not. Build a wall and make SA pay for it!

Not sure how that could be done better but I would think a border crossing carrier in these circumstances whether it be a bus, train or plane has some obligation to ensure their passengers can comply with entry requirements. Check they have a permit for example?

Would have saved everyone a lot of trouble and money.

Public tipoffs about online child sexual exploitation material have surged during the coronavirus pandemic, prompting the authorities to warn that, statistically, every Australian would know an abuser. Reports have increased by 122%. Sickening, they're trapped.

"The restrictions that COVID has brought in have resulted in families being locked up at home, and if in that family there happens to be an abuser it's fairly apparent what's going to happen," he said.

I would also imagine, with people/families in full lock down 24/7, people may be in a better position to 'notice' certain behaviors, such as who's watching what on the computer, who's sneaking around the house at night, who's in someone's room when they shouldn't be and what's going on at their neighbors house. This too, could lead to more reports to police.

Sydney's turn now for mask crimes.

NSW Police have charged a man who allegedly assaulted a security guard and stabbed another person during an argument over a face mask at a shopping centre in Sydney's west.

Police allege the 25-year-old man, a woman and two children were at the centre in Windsor when a security guard asked the woman to put a mask on about 8.20pm yesterday.

A short time later, the man allegedly approached the security guard — a 59-year-old man — and punched him several times.

Police allege a member of the public — a 53-year-old man — intervened.

They allege the younger man pulled out a knife and stabbed the older man in the leg.

Who gets so startled by a deer that they run off naked to get lost in the scrub? They were nude and had to be rescued by the SES.

Two nude sunbathers have been fined $1,000 for breaching COVID-19 public health orders after being startled by a deer and becoming lost in the Royal National Park.

I've been trying to work out whether "startled by a deer" is a euphemism? Another piece of slang that has passed me by?
