Out buying more toilet paper?
Have you seen the price? Nearly $1 per roll when before this flu started I bought a 45 roll pack of Kleenex on special from Drakes for $18 ($10 off) and three 24 packs from Woolies for $11. With three daughters and a wife I still have about 60 rolls left.

Crooks are selling the blood of people who recovered from coronavirus claiming the antibodies offer protection, they're even selling purported animal trial vaccines. Some 'cures' are being flogged for $25,000.

People meh.

I didn't really want to raise this but Andrew Rule has done it for me. Exploring the shady world of pop-up brothels where social distancing rules and casual sex don't mix.

Stowaways on a freight train. LOL

It makes you wonder what the actual heck is wrong with people! What has to be done/said to make people understand how serious this pandemic is? People are actually dying!

Like a lot of young people if they think they'll survive it, they don't care and not until it directly hurts them will they understand it.

Victoria is already cancelling elective surgeries to free up space in the hospitals, these are people who have likely been on a list for over a year anyway. It's not even out of control here yet. In Italy, one in five health workers ended up with CV and heaps of them died across all ages. Anybody suggesting this is like the flu is so wrong, its really frustrating.

All it takes is two doing the wrong thing.

Bags of trouble: teen trip ends in coronavirus cluster

July 29, 2020

Two teenagers who tested positive to coronavirus in Queensland allegedly travelled to Melbourne this month on a shoplifting mission to steal luxury handbags.
As fears rose that the 19-year-old women had triggered Queensland’s first community-transmitted cluster in months — with a sister of one of the pair also testing positive late on Wednesday — it emerged they were wanted by Victoria Police.
It is understood the pair are under investigation over an attempted theft of Bottega Veneta handbags at a high-end store in Melbourne, with suspicions they travelled interstate specifically to shoplift the goods and sell them.

Wasting Police resources like this along with the current and potential/future impact of what they have done

Are there any spare rooms at Guantanamo Bay?

Coronavirus: Queensland’s Covid teens condemned by police as they track details of Victoria trip
July 30, 2020

Queensland Police and health authorities are analysing the mobile phones of the two teenagers amid concerns they have not disclosed all their movements since returning from Victoria.
Sources told The Australian that they suspect at least one of the teenagers has withheld details of their movement since being back in Queensland. Authorities will re-question the pair today and are analysing their seized mobile phones for information.

We all know now it only takes two undetected in the community and it can explode like it has in Victoria. The Premiere of Qld is right to be angry about it.

"Police can also confirm that all three women are now cooperating with QPS and Queensland Health officials," police said.
All three are now in quarantine and have been charged with one count each of providing false or misleading documents under the public health act and fraud under the criminal code.
The maximum penalties for each are $13,345 and five years’ imprisonment, respectively. They are due to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 28.
A separate criminal investigation, unrelated to the alleged travel to Victoria, is also being undertaken by Task Force Sierra Linnet investigators.

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) is providing ongoing support to Queensland Health as part of a co-ordinated whole of government response to the COVID-19 situation. A multi-agency taskforce operating under Operation Sierra Linnet and involving officers from the QPS and the Office of Liquor and Gaming, will conduct compliance checks in entertainment precincts this evening.

Operation Sierra Linnet is a QLD operation.

And now for something completely different.

You can only feel very sorry for him and all involved. I am not surprised as this pandemic is taking a great toll on people who are already on edge. While most people are resilient, the gradual eroding away of mental security and peace of mind is hard to take, especially with lock down 2.0 here in Melbourne. Since the pandemic I have been taking extra care when out in the car because people are a bit loopy, preoccupied and a little careless because their minds are elsewhere. Fear causes an agressive response in a lot of people.

The ABC reports that police are examining whether the trio acted “on the instructions of crime syndicate handlers in a bid to evade quarantine.”
Police reportedly told the ABC they are investigating whether or not the women engaged in any other criminal activity during their time in Melbourne and Sydney earlier this month....

I was under the impression that their time in Sydney earlier this month was only inside Sydney Airport.
