This has got to be a positive.

A couple of weeks ago my local Bunnings had lines to restrict entry. My local Coles did the same. They have both scrapped that now as the traffic is pretty light. I suspect it's because days of the week don't really exist any more and the usual weekend peak time is spread over the week.

Yeah mine did likewise. Lately they haven't bothered letting people in and out 5 at a time, even though it's just as busy.

Got approved for JobKeeper today, didn't think I would but my application was approved by my employer. Very relieved!

Just wondering though, while I was waiting for the JobKeeper application to be processed, I applied for JobSeeker through Centrelink. That process was only given the green light yesterday, and I was paid the one-off $750 Economic Support Payment (along with $191 for JobSeeker). I understand I'll have to give back the $191, but do I get to keep the $750?

Anyone been to ikea? thinking of doing an ikea run (essential)

Still have lots of frozen meatballs and related condiments/jams left from a run there about 3 weeks ago to get some essentials for home cooking.

I think there are 2 major potential benefits:

- our apparently socialist government is about to start showing us what a universal living wage could look like.

- none of us should ever be working 5 days in an office ever again.

That was YOU hoarding the meatballs and jam!

Only the beef ones.
Left the chicken ones for you.
There were no bag limits back then.
Not sure if they ever ran short or introduced bag limits.

$750 is based on getting Centrelink payments and not the jobkeeper parent so no issues there.

Why didn't you think you'll get the jobkeeper payment? Been stood down? Be nice to know you've got money for the next 5 months.

Warehouse labourers gaining some much needed respect for the work they do.

I get it, I do, but are they really? Aside from a news article and a facebook post here or there the much needed respect they'd likely appreciate is a pay rise.

You mean they'd prefer $ over

- round of applause from the public and or battering of pots and pans?
- thoughts
- prayers
