Its like theres a time limit on the time people are 'on board' with restrictions. They see the number going down and make their own risk assessment
Honestly I’m pretty suspicious about whether the US’s numbers actually started coming down. Pretty sure the peak coincides with numbers no longer being reported by the CDC, and Trump’s mantra seems to be that if you reduce testing it magically goes away.

Isn't SA opening to NSW soon?
Governments will have to spend big on quarantine to keep that running. Surely having an open economy within has enough cash for that?
I suspect we may be held to a higher standard given the prevalence in the community.

Eradication is the only way through this, if they tried to just keep the numbers low it could be years without a vaccine going in and out of lockdown killing our economy and then if the vaccine doesn't work we are screwed.
It is basically eradicated outside of Victoria right now, if Vic can do the same we can have a covid free bubble with NZ and get back to completely normal lives, that way vaccine or not we will be fine.
