Of course some of the travelers behaved that way.

You take a broad subsection of the population and put them under a high stress scenario such as a 14 day forced quarantine and naturally a percentage of them would act badly as you described.

But the exact same thing would have been happening in the hotels in NSW, QLD, WA, etc. The difference is that they had (have) a well run system with competent, trained staff and a clear chain of command.

Whereas our state government handballed the running of a quarantine program for the biggest pandemic in 100 years to a bunch of barely literate Nightclub Bouncers under zero supervision.

Some might say I am oversimplfying the outcome but based on what I have seen from the judicial inquiry I doubt it. And if I am wrong please ell me who was in charge?

Anyway only a couple of weeks to go until the findings of the inquiry are made public. Should make for a fascinating read.

People did escape their hotel in WA and caught public transport into the city. They were just lucky he did not have the virus.

Yeah and when people use facts and figures to prove their point and are unwilling to listen to the rebuttal haha
the rebuttal is invariably something said by some simpleton like;

lol why am co morbitities be listed as cause of deth instead of covid - is scam by soros to make the world a communism!!!!

Hotel quarantine would have been fine if the people that were meant to stay inside didn't go shopping or socialise with security.
Or if you know the security made sure they didn't leave their rooms or the hotel, we didn't even make them get tested when they left ffs

Furious religious leaders are demanding to see the public health advice that is still preventing faith groups from gathering, saying they feel “mocked and discriminated against” by the Victorian government. Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne, Peter Comensoli, tweeted he was: “deeply shocked at the disparity imposed on Vic’s faith communities today”. “Public Health stubbornly silent on reason why. Rest of OZ is doing it right. Why not us? Life, family & faith matter. This week I’ll be pressing the authorities on this lack of fairness and working with faith leaders to have this addressed asap and in all the road map steps ahead.”

It's quite annoying, if you are lucky enough to live within 25km of the ocean or outside of metro Melbourne you can go fishing, we isolated few on the fringes have to try our luck in man made ponds.

1st world problems I know but this 25km s**t may as well be 2km as far as I'm concerned, I've got no interest in going anywhere in the city don't know why we are stuck with them.

im just not that cruel.

Why don't we start with the total deaths in vic that died FROM the virus. 20 instead of the 800 that is reported
It's 12.

I know it's 12, because there is a 2, and it's after a 1.

And I know it is a 2 after a 1, because I just typed it.

Ipso facto, it's 12.

Hoorah, crises over.

What a garbage meme that is going around.

Why compare Victoria to the UK? You seriously think they’re comparable?

Go look at the rest of Australia and get back to me .

Lot of that in Gippsland if the poor bugger's boats didn't burn down.
Give us a couple of weeks and it'll all be good, so long as Deskc doesn't run round sneezing on everyone.

Right from the start we saw Covid cases scattered randomly throughout the UK.
In Victoria it was incredibly concentrated in the western suburbs. When it started to get more widespread stage 4 came in. Probably a bit earlier would have been good, but whilst there are knobs suggesting Andrews is getting off on it, i think he was pretty reluctant.
