Statistics is a serious business.

You also assumed defensiveness. Perhaps I was simply asking? Perhaps I wanted to know because if I did imply something I'd have to go back and reword it as it was not my original intention...

Difference = 34,000 or 2020 deaths are 85% of ave. of prior 4 years.

At the risk of again invoking Trump, he has now put US funding to the WHO on hold until they can review their role in what he has stated was "covering up" the spread and impact of COVID-19. I can't see defunding a global health organisation being helpful in the long run, regardless of your politics
