As always, the truth of the matter is lost in the middle. The Chinese have done a lot of things right and a lot wrong. It is important we take what lessons we can from overseas, but maintain a healthy level of scrutiny and skepticism.

We currently have 1 critical case from 342 active confirmed cases (I would think at least 10,000 if not more people have it already and haven’t been tested)

We have had 5 deaths so far, aged 77,78,82,90 and 95 with 3 of the 5 in the same aged care facility.

This is a serious situation and I applaud us taking it seriously but maybe check the stats a bit.

Yes, ******* stupid is pretty much how we are describing it. Apparently she has been back in the country for a week now and Singapore and Malaysia weren’t on the previous travel ban list, so it’s all OK...... somehow doesn’t make us feel any better.....

Bit hard to speak up too loudly though when we are a team of contractors embedded with a client (which is the boss I was referring to) and we are coming to the end of our contract with the next contract currently out to tender.

I'm VERY interested to see how the good people of Melbourne handle the prospect of infection at the pubs tomorrow. I've spoken to some staff at Irish pubs and they're loading up on free sanitiser, probably a better bet than getting any at the shops if you need it!

We have absolutely no idea where we're at in the next few weeks, and if things work out well on the vaccine front, the landscape of the situation will change dramatically.

Vice versa with outbreaks and social/government behaviour.

**** knows mate. I’m not a doctor. Maybe you don’t have a great immune system so a small dose of the flu via vaccination gives you a minor case of it.

Ive only had the flu once and was pretty sick for about a month.
