Im getting married in a month. The anxiety my fiancé has is getting worse and I’m trying to calm her.

This shit is absolutely driving me insane and it’s all media.
The hype and frenzy honestly makes me question whether I should be against the virus or if it’s warranted and the first to go should be the media and the toilet paper panic buyers

You'd be anxious as shit anyway.

The warnings from actual doctors are warranted, the hype and toilet buying frenzy isn't.

Not till August Bill

End of the European summer surely this shit would have died down

Hmmmm, I reckon there's every chance they'll have a ban on people coming from Australia by then.

I suspect our winter is going to be very bad.

I know elderly and those with weaker immune systems are at risk.
I honestly believe it’s not as bad as it seems

Our winter is still four months away.
Again it’s a wait and see

How many people have died in China? Enough to fill the Arden St oval standing next to each other

I posted this by accident here's the rest

?

Something like that.

The numbers sound bad cos it's one cause. It happens in a hurry and is scary.

The medical scientists I work with (I’m not one, just a humble field service engineer) are of a similar opinion although it does seem the mortality rate is quite a bit higher for the elderly than a regular flu.
The difference is that there is always a chance of mutation and that huge amounts of people are living in such close quarters these days that an enormous amount of people may catch it. And an enormous amount of people with say a 6% mortality equals a lot of dead.

At the moment I am alert. I’m actually sitting on a plane now waiting to fly back to Brissy and it’s been 7 weeks of travel in a row, so I am aware enough that hopefully the tonic water in my g&t’s is keeping me safe!

Anyway, I’ve chucked in my job, too much travel, so if someone is hiring in Brissy, send me a pm!

Tonic might keep you safe from malaria.

Apparently cases are set to peak in August for us.

BERLIN — Chancellor Angela Merkel is on her way out and her power is waning, but in her typically low-key, no-nonsense manner, the German leader on Wednesday laid out some cold, hard facts on the coronavirus in a way that few other leaders have.
Two in three Germans may become infected, Ms. Merkel said at a news conference that reverberated far beyond her country. There is no immunity now against the virus and no vaccine yet. It spreads exponentially, and the world now faces a pandemic.
The most important thing, the chancellor said, is to slow down the spread of the coronavirus to win time for people to develop immunity, and to prevent the health care system from becoming overwhelmed.
“We have to understand that many people will be infected,” Ms. Merkel said. “The consensus among experts is that 60 to 70 percent of the population will be infected as long as this remains the situation.”

Ms. Merkel, for her part, spent time studying science before becoming a politician: She is a trained physicist.

On Wednesday, when she addressed her fellow Germans, flanked by the health minister and the head of the public health institute, she took pains to say that the information she was sharing had come from the experts. And that information, she said, informed the public health decisions being made by the authorities.

Surely they have to cancel the season now.

Imagine what would happen if fit blokes in their twenties and early thirties all over the country caught the sniffles.

It would only take one player to eat the wrong bat, and then he could spread the flu to his teammates, then to other teams.

It would be like an epidemic.

Pull the pin on season 2020 now, let the players rest up, buy all the bubble wrap you can and force them to sleep in it.

Do you think I'm joking? Sleep in the bubble wrap or prison sentences have to be considered.

At the very least, forced bubble wrapping.

:stern look

ABBOTT AND COSTELLO PREDICTED THIS IN THE 1930s:

Costello: Well then who declared this a pandemic?

Abbott: Yes.

Costello: I mean the organisation’s name.

Abbott: WHO.

Costello: The organisation?

Abbott: WHO.

Costello: The ones that declared the pandemic.

Abbott: WHO!

Costello: Who did it?.

Abbott: WHO did!

Costello: I’m asking you who declared the pandemic!

Abbott: That’s the organisation’s name.

Costello: That’s whose name?

Abbott: Yeah, that’s WHO’s name.

Costello: Well go ahead and tell me.

Abbott: That’s it.

Costello: That’s WHO?

Abbott: Yeah.

Can't believe it, but I agree with Trump, stop allowing planes full of (potential) vectors in to spread more of this Coronavirus. We are an island, probably too late now, but shut the gate and try to deal with what is already here, a couple of scary words I have seen recently, inevitable and exponential for starters.

The sniffles? The Coronavirus is worse then the worst flu one can get. There’s a myth that it’s only killing old people, While they make up the majority of deaths, lots young healthy people have also died.

Dunno why there isn't a run on frozen veggies and tinned stuff and meat to freeze.

Thats more important than dunny paper when the Supermarket is closed

Italy has lockdown its entire country and its supermarkets are still open.
