Anyone who smokes **** would be very wise to stop right now.

a) Because they'll kill you
b) They're expensive
c) If it gets bad here and they smell smoke on you, you're going to the back of the line permanently for treatment

I was playing darts at the shop last night with the same group of mates. One is talking about the fact it might kill him. In his late 60s early 70s, but he's reasonably fit and tough and is a beekeeper, reckon he had his first ever potential allergic reaction to this. He'll probably be fine.

One of them rolled a joint and was about to share it....

No more of that anymore.

That might have been our last darts comp for a while too.

That's why I posted three days ago about pulling the kids out of school. I've got a cold right now. I've had a dry cough since half way thru the fire season. Hope it's the virus cos it's not really a problem atm.

I think they were unsure if it was being spread at point of symptoms first showing or not. Now it seems they have confirmed that you don't need to have any symptoms at all.

This coming week will show us how badly it's spread.

This is why there is the current push to act early.

Push effort into slowing the spread. Flatten the infection spike.

People will still get it but less people die because there is more adequate medical coverage.

The next fortnight in the US is going to be incredibly interesting given their health system and a workforce that does not encompass the same sort of entitlements that ours does.

It’ll probably rip thou places like San-Fran although in true American style if you can’t pay for the test, medicals, you won’t be part of the statistics.

Italy's death toll has already surged past 1000 and it has fewer cases currently tracked.

Italy is a strange one.
Much higher dead rate compared to western European countries. ~6% v ~ 0.5%
Wonder if due to high number of severe cases they are not testing minor or asymptomatic cases.
Health system there and older population would skew this too.

They're definitely the major factors. Thats why the northern region was closed first, the majority of their elderly populace lives there.
