Every single entry at reduced entry rates or as per normal (say November 2019) levels?

Are we saying normal entries and quarantine from October onwards? How do you regulate such large numbers and so many different methods of entry?
I would say quarantine everyone. The 14-day requirement will thin the numbers dramatically anyway and there won't be a large selection of flights to choose from anyway.

It may be a large undertaking and will require vigilance, but if it enables us to live a more or less normal life it is worth it. We might even get enough footy in for the Roos to finish 9th again.

It sure would.

I suspect this is more about a communications strategy and switch from stick to carrot. By letting people know the finish line is in sight, as long as it's plausible, should result in better compliance than the "there is no foreseeable end to this thing" message. Eradication within Australian and watertight borders is the absolute best possible outcome for Australia in the next 12 to 18 months.

My hunch is that it is catered to the millions of snowflakes in Australia.

You can't afford to be stright up and honest with these people or they start collapsing.

Has slowed to an absolute crawl.

Recoveries outpacing new cases by 50.

If this continues at the same rate, it will be 60 days until no active cases.

If they start implementing CPT with the infected then it could be over even quicker.

Thanks, that’s an astonishing positivity rate considering the amount of tests being conducted.

Cheers.

I suppose it gives the punters something to talk about.
A pessimistic lot on twitter who can stew over a slight daily increase.

My point being that it’s as not as simple as “close the borders”

That cruise ship will go down in Australian history.

Oh yeah... The key thing will be what they rename it. Coz if they don't blow the damn thing up, there's no way it's gonna have the turnstiles ticking over if they keep it named The Ruby Princess.

Any thoughts as to what a new name could be?
