Now I might be adding 6 and 9 and getting 69, but with all that nastiness on the Western Front, one would think and that one is me, that the Flu came into existence from there. Only if I had a Time Machine to prove my theory. :stern look

How about the President of the United States - the de facto supreme leader of the country currently well in the lead for the most people infected with this thing - telling everyone to take hydroxychloroquine, a drug with potentially serious side effects that include life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias, vision changes, psychological distress, and severe rashes among them. A drug that has zero proof of efficacy on Covd19, is not endorsed in any way shape or form by anyone in the medical profession for use on Covid19 (including Trump's own beleaguered medical officer, Dr. Fauci, poor bugger) and is desperately needed by the patients already taking it for the conditions for which it was prescribed to them, which is not Covid19. But no, let's aim the pitchfork wielding crowd at the chef with his zero-side effect light frequency peddling. And as for media platforms - yeah, let's not go there. Trump wins again on that one by a few thousand country miles.

Look, I'm not saying either one is okay. But if you're going to go after one charlatan, you need to go after them all. And Trump's spruiking of an unproven drug in this case is far more dangerous than light-frequency guy. Enough with the excuses to keep jumping on alternative healing stuff. A little perspective please, for just this once, on who is the person who could cause more harm here.

I still go that way occasionally. The roads pretty good. Tiny bit longer but the highway with those centre barriers is terrible. Bit more scenic with nice sections like the mouth of the avon and perry bridge. That stratford to bairnsdale road would be one of the most boring drives there is.

Speaking of which, the Chinese wet markets Val Keating - yes, agree completely. But factory farms are a cesspool of trouble waiting to happen too, as history has shown. We've got a lot of potentially very dangerous stuff that could arise from the way we breed/house/market animals of all kinds, in many parts of the world.

The wet markets should definitely be banned from here on. But I'm also worried that banning them will only drive them further underground. I suppose the only real solution is going to be a cultural shift, and widespread public shaming, like what has started to happen with the ivory trade.

When we first moved down there we were boring and stuck to the major roads. But now I zing out through Bales, come in at the back of Drouin and then bang a left at the Heyfield turnoff before Sale. A quick right left right, then bang the drum, hit the Bengworden Rd. and before we knew it, Roberts your mothers brother and we were at home. We did spend a bit of time flashing through Ripplebrook as well, a nice road to drive if you have, well, lets call it an Impreza
