But people do bother with him Hoj. Millions upon millions of Americans. The spotlight needs to be shone upon who and what has the potential to cause the most harm here, and in my opinion, it's not magnet guy and his lightwaves.

The same one's that chose him to be their president?

A chef and some electromagnetic frequencies found in nature? Meh.

I'm not going to defend him, but you can't dismiss this phenomena either.

What about cellular ion membrane transport? Are you stating that EMF's cannot effect metabolic cationic species? Can you dismiss the premise that this would disrupt viral replication processes?

I'll be fair and give you a sporting chance this time............... just pretend that you didn't read this.

Im not a vego so am probably a hypocrite, but even from an animals rights perspective.

Some of the shit that happens over there should not happen in a society.

****ed up cultural practises need to be identified and rectified whether they're within our own cultures or others'.

Get comfortable

I am 100% supportive of the Premier on this. The last thing that we can afford is for the government to cave in or give in to political, media, public or economic pressure only to have an explosion of the virus mid-winter when Australia is most vulnerable. The Premier or PM who goes too early on this will be damned by the public and media and bring about a massive collapse of health care. We definitely need to act with great care on this and be prepared to call out and even confront the people who flout the rules in the mean time. 👍

NY Times going deep on the human tragedy happening in the US. Their governments are criminally negligent. This is a stunning read.

The NYT has never been a friend of Mr Trump. They will construct a case on any premise or basis to make him look bad or to bring him down. True it is that he is perhaps one of the worst Presidents that the US has ever had, but unfortunately for the US their best people are not stepping up to take him on politically and to take him down at the ballot box. Alas, he will be re-elected later this year.

How could you possibly know this?

Were you privvy to the scientific recommendations, because you must be in order to claim "criminal negligence"?

There's nothing "stunning" about this article. It's more politically motivated click bait designed to rope in the likes of you.

Oh no...................IT'S STUNNING!!!!!

You've provided an emotional response. Read the primary evidence and feel free to rebut the management of a virus which will result in tens of thousands of extra deaths, maybe more.

A chef and some electromagnetic frequencies found in nature? Meh.

How about the President of the United States - the de facto supreme leader of the country currently well in the lead for the most people infected with this thing - telling everyone to take hydroxychloroquine, a drug with potentially serious side effects that include life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias, vision changes, psychological distress, and severe rashes among them. A drug that has zero proof of efficacy on Covd19, is not endorsed in any way shape or form by anyone in the medical profession for use on Covid19 (including Trump's own beleaguered medical officer, Dr. Fauci, poor bugger) and is desperately needed by the patients already taking it for the conditions for which it was prescribed to them, which is not Covid19. But no, let's aim the pitchfork wielding crowd at the chef with his zero-side effect light frequency peddling. And as for media platforms - yeah, let's not go there. Trump wins again on that one by a few thousand country miles.

Look, I'm not saying either one is okay. But if you're going to go after one charlatan, you need to go after them all. And Trump's spruiking of an unproven drug in this case is far more dangerous than light-frequency guy. Enough with the excuses to keep jumping on alternative healing stuff. A little perspective please, for just this once, on who is the person who could cause more harm here.
So true. Pete Evans is an annoying twat who has been occasionally dangerous but is mostly a low-level grifter. Trump is dangerous on a global scale. One of his gullible followers killed themselves ingesting a fish tank product because it contained hydroxychloroquine after listening to him boost the drug, and there was a spike in poisonings from it in Nigeria.

None of that is an argument to let Pete Evans off the hook though. He should be held to account. At the end of the day, he is a chef who uses his public platform to promote junk science around anti-vaccination and fad diets.

No emotion just fact, he is the worst statesman and one of the worst Presidents that that country has produced, no doubt about that in my mind. I am only disappointed that the Democrats don't seem to have any good candidates to take him on.

.....and just how are they going to prove that?

Because I can table published science papers right now that report the efficacy of EMF treatment with microbial reduction.

NOW..................don't confuse this with me supporting his claims, I am just pointing out that there is evidence in his defence which the legal system would find difficult for overcoming "reasonable doubt".

The lack of an organised response is laid bare. You acknowledge the administration is abysmal. I think we're on the same page?

Pete Evans apparently has 1.5 million social media followers. I couldn't care one way or the other about the stupid lamp, although he should be prosecuted for that. I do care about him spreading bullshit anti-vaccine propaganda when his audience is big enough to potentially blow our herd immunity on things like measles and chickenpox out of the water.

Does anyone listen to him do you reckon?

The US has a base for that type of thinking. Aside from a few pockets, I don't think we have it here. Most of his followers are rubber neckers watching a car crash.

No. The lack of response is completely on Trump.
Can't it be both?

Some horrendous cultural practices in China created a disease that was purposely overlooed by an authoritarian government and used that influence within the WHO.

Once it got to the US, it was mismanaged by the worst government in a long time. All parties have responsibility.

To quote Winston Churchill, "America always eventually does the right thing, usually after they have exhausted all other options first".

Coronavirus texts lead to Florida man’s murder arrest in wife’s disappearance

Husband who texted missing wife’s friends telling them she had coronavirus has been arrested on suspicion of her murder, according to reports.
According to Fox News, police in the town of Jupiter, Florida are still searching for Gretchen Anthony, 51, who disappeared in March, weeks after filing for divorce from her husband David Anthony, 48.
Anthony and his Nissan Frontier car were found in the town of Las Cruces, New Mexico, on March 31.
He was arrested there on charges of second-degree murder and kidnapping, Jupiter police said this week.
David Anthony was arrested over the disappearance of his wife Gretchen, after he sent texts saying she had Coronavirus.
“As the investigation progressed and further evidence collected, it is believed David E. Anthony is responsible for her disappearance and related homicide which was determined to have occurred on March 21, 2020,” police said in a news release.
Police said they began investigating the disappearance of Gretchen Anthony on March 25 after a woman reported getting a “suspicious text message” from her.
The text said she had COVID-19 and was being held by the “CDC” after being checked out at a medical centre, local channel WPEC-TV reported.
A police officer went to the hospital and was told Mrs Anthony wasn’t a patient there, but the officer found her Mini Cooper with her purse in the parking lot, the station reported.
The arrest report says police interviewed a man who also said he got a text message from Gretchen Anthony the morning of March 24, saying that she was hospitalised with an “acute” case of COVID-19 and was being taken to a CDC centre in Belle Glade, Florida for “sedation”.

Police said the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention doesn’t have a facility there.
According to the arrest report police spoke to a neighbour of Gretchen Anthony who asked them if they were there to investigate “the attack that occurred Saturday morning,” March 21.
The neighbour told officers that shortly after 6am she heard a woman’s voice from Gretchen Anthony’s patio let out “a bloodcurdling scream” and then heard a woman yell, “No! No it hurts!” according to the station.
Another neighbour told police he also heard the screams and noticed David Anthony’s truck parked on the road, with the bed loaded up and covered with a tarp, the station reported.
The Las Cruces Sun Herald reported that David Anthony was in New Mexico planning to flee to South America.
