I remember the game. The team arrived late and had a very short and inadequate preparation, but I'm fairly sure there was no allowance made for the start time. I recall watching as the Hawks couldn't bridge the gap trailing all day, and it didn't finish in darkness, which would have happened with a 3pm start mid August in Qld...

Hmm the Canberra Times article above says the match was delayed, so that correlates to the ticker announcement too
