180 degree direct opposite of the truth.

If he'd stood up for what he believed in, he would have resigned his LNP seat in Parliament when he quit the party, rather than fraudulently hanging on to it (and the juicy wages) under false pretences.
 
Cushy diplomatic posts are for the party faithful, not spineless turncoats.
Not necessarily. They could have offered him something like the Holy See (he would die for) in turn for him quitting and vacating for a Liberal to retake the seat.

He didn’t like Turnbull. Saw the turmoil and left before Melcome tried to turn the party in to a looney left party
