Which pair would you take and why?

Had a arguement with a Crow fan and he thinks Walker and Dangerfield are better then all the pairs listed above and would not even consider that the others are in the same league if not better.
Should have heard him laughing at Fyfe, said Fyfe and Hill would not be fit to touch Dangerfields shoe laces.
So I told him I will star a poll and see the opinion of many others.
Adelaide supporters are just so bias.

Sorry, I don't understand what the point of this poll is?

Whats your opinion and why do you want to know ours?

Seems like a pretty random selection of young talant from a small selection of clubs.

i think scully and jurrah, but i don't know if that's my bias talking or actually realistic

scully showed some fantastic signs last year, and jurrah has a great x factor about him but also is relatively consistent with his goal scoring

as a kpf and mid combo i think it's hard to go past them, and as a kpf and mid combo they stand out above mid and mid combo's imo

for a pure mid combo? i can't go past fyfe and hill

cotchin and martin are great but fyfe and hill are a lot more versatile, which gives an extra edges imo (as well as being great mids)

walker and dangerfield are also very promising, but dangerfield really underwhelms me with his inability to dominate more than a quarter

it may be harsh, and he is incredibly talented, but still

gibbs and murphy are also greatly talented

a really difficult choice!

all unbiased aside out of this lot by far the most talented player at the moment is murphy and its by a long stretch, after that i put players like Gibbs, Cotchin, Hill and Scully in the same category followed by Martin, Fyfe, Dangerfield and Walker, and Jurrah just behind.

Dangerfield is so overated it not funny, as is jurrah
anyone who says that any of these players come close to murphy is just having a laugh

I would Agree that Murphy has delivered the most out of this young group of players.
But

I would have a Dangerfield, Martin or Cotchin type of player, just love real good inside players.

So I would have to say I would love the toughness of Martin and Cotchin in the midfield, defenetly in tough and tight contests like the finals.

Hill and Fyfe on the Big grounds would be my 2nd choice.

I am not a fan of Walker or Gibbs.

If Scully had played this season I am sure I would have rated the Melbourne pair against the rest, but it is not fair having them in this poll, Jurrah and Scully have had the least amount of time.

Bit of a stupid poll... Murphy has been around for 5 years, of course he is going to be a better and more established player than Scully, Martin etc. Not to mention your comparing midfielders and key positions.

However based on potential, Cotchin and Martin look extremely good. Could be the best midfield combo going round in a few years.

Fyfe and Hill probably next, however we haven't seen any of Scully this year due to injury.

Dangerfield and Walker last. While both have shown signs, there are still big doubts about both of them. Can Dangerfield gather enough disposals? Can he play midfield? Can Walker show some consistency? Attitude problems? Poor forward pressure? However in saying that, they could easily become the best combo. Who really knows, its way to early to tell.

Murphy may have accomplished more -- he's been around a little longer -- than the other players in this poll, but there's no way known Murphy is more talented than Hill or Cotchin.

I read that Liam Jurrah is the 25th player to kick 50 goals in his first 20 games in 150 years, and only 5 have done it in the last 25 years.

The guy is a freak. Given where he has come from, I am staggered to think what he will be able to do with 6-7 pre-sessions under his belt.

We need a quality forward and Jurrah is by far the best forward prospect there. You could through a blanket around the midfielders though, but I'd be more than happy to keep Scully.

Wasn't John Anthony another one of those? Doesn't necessarily mean much...

Murphy and Gibbs is a strange combo to put up, given that both of them have been around longer (in some cases much longer) than anyone else in the comparison.

They're clearly performing the best right now, but Martin and Cotchin get my vote, as they'll overtake them shortly, IMO.

Jakovich the fastest ever kicking 50 goals in his first 9 games. Also equal with Coleman as fastest to 100 in just 21 games. Puts Jurrah in good company.

No he wasn't. And Jurrah isn't a one trick pony.

Still, interesting that you chose Jurrah and not Trengove for the comparison.

From 1st to 5th.

Cotchin, Martin
Hill, Fyfe
Gibbs, Murphy
Scully, Jurrah
Dangerfield, Walker

Top 3 not much difference between them. Trying not to be bias, but if I was then Hill and Fyfe 1st :)

You've just listed random pairs. Some of the combinations are both midfielders, one midfielder and one forward, etc. You need to compare pairs of players under consistent guidelines.

Right at this moment based on what they've produced so far then it has to be Murphy and Gibbs easily.

Which combination would I want based on potential?

1) Dangerfield and Walker or Hill and Fyfe
3) Cotchin and Martin
4) Murphy and Gibbs
5) Scully and Jurrah
