Hille made sure he joked with bartel after the game, made a huge difference in the assessment.

Would not have hurt to approach the north bench after the game for the token well wishing. First rule of footy, if you belt someone, buy them a beer after the game and get them onside for the tribunal.
North doc just has to allude to an earlier contest as the cause and he gets the reduction.

And for everyone that said he hit his head on the ground - that was caused by an illegal act, and Cotchin thus bears the responsibility for that.

Maybe we should just wait for them outside the next MRP meeting and throw rotten vegetables at them or something. The clubs can only do so much because they can't risk the AFL coming down hard on them. It's up to the supporters to take our game back.

Rubbish. History was againsed us right from the start. Not many get off or a reduction once the original penalty is handed out. It was ****ing ridiculous contesting it.

I wouldn't be pissed off at Richmond, the AFL is a joke, how can you possibly give a young bloke 4 weeks for a first offense, that was just a slightly late bump, the whole match review panel is ridiculous, none of these decisions would hold up in a real court, and as for consistency only Carlton and Essendon seem to get that, their players consistently get off, scot free for what ever they do, David Hille up 3 times and his attack was aimed to do damage, no case to answer, this panel just hasn't got a clue and they are ruining the game as a spectacle, damn shame

Agree. I was hoping the club knew something I didn't, because it looked like at least 2 weeks to me, and 3 with a plea is close enough.

Sure there have been some bizarre decisions, including recent let-offs, but that only made it more likely they'd tighten up now.
