Cotchin is a very good talent & may one day be better than Murphy, but at the moment Murphy has a few more runs on the board.

And right now, Kayne Pettifer has more runs on the board than Gibbs.

But Gibbs may one day be better

Cotchin is clearly a more talented player than Murphy. You can use any technicality you like - Cotch is just far superior and the more you argue, the sillier you will look when threads like this get bumped

And to think... he could have been yours!

If Cotchin is far superior to Murphy why are his first season stats inferior to Murphy's first season stats?

I look silly for putting my opinion? So, in other words anyone who posts an opinion that is not the same as yours looks silly? Get over yourself. Oh & Cotchin could have been ours, but then we wouldn't have Kreuzer, who has already won more games for us off his own boot, than Cotchin has won for Richmond. See, we can all turn things around to suit ourselves.

FWIW, Mark Waugh was clearly a more talented player than his twin Steve, but we know who had the better career. Talent is only part of the equation, it is how you use it that determines where you stand at the end of your career & how hard you are prepared to work to get the best out of yourself.

imagin.. warnock taps to murph, who gives to gibbs, to cotch, to stevo, to judd who bullets a pass to fev.. S***.

still rather KRUEZZZZZZZ

That is spot on.

Actually Cotchin + Gibbs are running in the 15km half marathon next month.

I think they are teaming up in a relay against some champion runner.

I didn't see Murphy running around the tan with a world champion marathon runner in preperation for the public race.

Bryce Gibbs was though - now he is a champion.

Gibbs + Cotch impress with me with not only natural talent, but pure work ethic too. That is why these type of players are several classes above your Murphy's and Rioli's and in the long run, these two (plus Selwood) will be remembered as champion players of the modern era.

Murphy will be remembered as a gun player, maybe a Scott West level of stardom - but Gibbs/Cotch/Selwood are the Hird/Voss/Buckley of the new millenium.
