Currently Mark Coughlan is happy at Richmond and fingers crossed he remains happy at Punt Road.

Agree with that, but I wouldn't make the player any of our front liners, that's for sure.
Or Croad + 2nd rounder. Maybe just Croad if he keeps putting in like he did on Sunday.
Let's face it guys, Croad is our main trade bait, if anyone's going anywhere, it's him.
Agreed 1st round pick + player, and definitely not any of the players mentioned in the initial post.
To be honest though, I'd rather go for another Western Australian such as Armstrong or Cassisi. Either of them would be much cheaper than Coughlan and may well end up being just as good, if not better.

Is it just me or has Armstrong's progress stalled?.
He was playing for Perth as a 17 year old, was drafted by Melbourne and in my eyes has been hardly sighted. The Dees are in a down cycle, so I would have thought if he was the real deal, his class would have shown through. Is it due to injury or lack of game time?.
Some players show all their goods early and don't keep on progressing, others improve year after year.

Ive been impressed with Armstrong when I have seen him this year but he doesnt seem to be getting much game time from Daniher???
I dont know if he would get a game in Freos forward line though.
Anyway I think Freo should just persist with what they have got already instead of trading too much.

He wasn't given much game time last year but was used to a greater extent in the finals series where he performed very highly, being rotated through the middle.
He had a great start to this season before receiving a shoulder injury. Since then, he hasn't had as much game time and is being rotated through the midfield and forward line.
Yeah, Armstrong has dropped away this year. I don't know if it's due to injury/opportunity or what, but he hasn't lived up to expectations this year. He definitely has talent though.
Second round pick + fringe player would probably be a fair trade. He has only turned 19 this year.

How about Croad + second round pick for Armstrong + melbourne's first round pick (likely to be 3 or 4).
I could see a trade like that happening. A top five pick would give us a great shot at Moody, Ray or Bradley. Plus we would get rid of Croad's contract and add another up & coming midfielder to the ranks.

I guess that's a possibility depending on how Croady performs for the rest of the season. Melbourne could do with a KPP like Croad and we could do with some more depth in the midfield.
