This was as inevitable as night follows day. If your confused, or keep going on about, it needs to be monetised, it needs to pay its own way. The discord between you and reality, is down to you.
AFLW is the AFLs current best driver of growth and expansion, and they will ride it to the hilt. If it costs them a few mill foregoing gate receipts, to maximise the exposure and growth, that is frankly, a no brainer. They would gladly pay that for a marketing campaign that delivered what the AFLW has.
