And anyways, Aker said himself on tv a couple of weeks ago, he doesn't have that 'special' relationship with the umpires this year, and doubts he'd win it. Now coming from anyone else, you'd take that with a grain of salt.
But this is Aker.
He's more likely to say "Yeah I think I might be in with a showing this year" than use the old 'nah not me mate' party line.

Silly Poll, even the most fanatical Weagles supporter would admit that Cousins doesn't have have half the talent that Aka has. Cousin's is a great little player though who gives 100% every game, which makes up for his lack of natural talent and leg speed.

Two star midfielders, but two very different players, Cousins is going to be the general every week, he will get the team going and then it will be up to others to help him win games. He sets up the play as good as anybody and is as tough as nails, has been complemented this year by judd, fletcher, embley, kerr, braun, coz, etc... but still no doubts he is a superstar and would be a worthy winner of the Brownlow come years end.
Aker on the other hand, can turn a game. He can be missing for three quarters and still manage a BOG from a stellar final quarter, kicks goals sets them up, as a non supporter you would go to a game featuring aka before you went to a game to watch cousins.
Two very differen but exceptional footballers.

Come on parrot, all the Eagles are ordinary. Between their non-existent back line, forward line, spine and their ordinary KPPs, ruck and midfielders, it's surprising they can ever win a game.
My prediction: Eagles will never ever ever ever win another game, Judd will be forced to return his Brownlow and they will fold in 18 months.

Yes! That was not very nice on the cocaine part. Cousins is a great skipper. Aka has achieved more but Ben is an awesome player who can match him.

Aker will have to do it hard to win the Brownlow this year. He wouldve been lucky to poll more than 5 votes in the first 12 games of the yaer. Cousins would be 10-15 after the first 12 games. Aker will need a massive second half of the year to win it and Benny will need to fall off his horse.

All coaches and media awards in the entire country has Cousins leading Akermanis by a country mile. This would naturally mean that Cousins year to date, and you would think for the remainder of the year would in most eyes be the leagues best player for 05.
Aker is flashy, is a proven vote getter and wont have as many team mates stealing votes off him. Cousins deserves to win the Brownlow but it wouldnt be a shock to anyone if Aker did.
Both awesome players in totally different moulds so i think all this comparing who is better is a waste of time.
