Im not going to get negative of any sort here but how was that goal by (I think it was) Cousins when hart touched it about 2 metres at least before the line and the goal umpire was RIGHT next to it, unlike the Carey decision where there was no decisive footage this was clearly a touched ball by the replay, how was it when the umpire came in to tell the Goal Umpire to change his call but he still signalled a goal and after the replay Hart was talking to the umpire and he was basically saying, not my call mate.
Well I hope that bloody ump doesnt get another game in the finals or again if possible.

ANYWAY

GO CROWS

JASON:D :D :D

I love WA at the moment, No Dorkers or Weagles

My parents were on the flight back to Melbourne tonight with the umpires (I'm assuming the 3 field umpires) and they said it was not a goal.

So there you go! Lucky it wasn't close.

That umpire should be sacked for the rest of the finals mmediately, no ifs, no buts. What a shocker that was! I was watching me front on and I could tell Hart touched it before the line!

Thankfully it wasn't crucial to the result of the match.

It was one decision. Absolute shocker, I agree, but still only one decision. Why in the first half were you getting away with so many pushes in the back?

Well having said that, there's not doubt you were the better side. So congratulations on the win.

The interesting thing about the goal umpire's stupidity on this occasion is that it was clear to everyone else, including the field umpires (as confirmed by the replay) that it was over a foot from being a goal, bearing in mind that the whole ball must be completely over the line.

It wasn't even touch and go.

No final for that moron next week!!

I was sitting in the forward pocket under the big screen and had a great view of the incident. The ball wasn't even close to being over the line.

The worst thing is that the goal umpire actually made pretty good position. How he got it wrong is beyond me. Then to stick to his guns when queried by the field umpire is astonishing. A one week dumping is not enough for that type of error - it should cost him the rest of the finals.

That umpire should have trusted Benny. He wouldn't lie. If he said he touched it before it went over the line, then he did. The replay proved this. He deserves to be droped for the rest of the finals.

It will. That's the good thing about finals. Less and less games.

Four games this week. Two games next week. Only half the number of officials needed.

Goal umpire, you are the weakest link... goodbye.

Gieshen's comments on this on afl.com.au are soft. They do not denounce it at all.

It looks like the AFL is sweeping this one under the closet....

Sack the goal umpire

This was avery basic error, and in a final it's just even worse. If the uneducated Channel 10 commentators said it was touched, then it was a reall bad stuff-up

As it was such a basic and disgraceful decision, this goal umpire should be SACKED!! Don't just drop him for the finals, SACK HIM COMPLETELY!!!
