Led Zeppelin's version was supposedly influenced more by John Renbourn's take from 1967.

Last night I was checking out this Holly Golightly & The BrokeOffs album of horsey themed songs as a copy came up cheap and found it had among other covers "Pinto Pony" - one of a couple of Paul Siebel songs that I like from his Jack-Knife Gypsy album released in 1970.

There's a couple of other interesting covers on this CD to make it just about worth picking up for the couple of bucks that it sells for. (I go by the $1 per song value for money).

Green Pajamas cover Leonard Cohen's "Story of Isaac". I know there was at least one Leonard Cohen tribute album sometime in the 90's with people like Robert Forster, Dave McComb, Nick Cave, John Cale etc but I can't remember the name of it. Pretty certain this track wasn't on it.
