So your issue Isn’t demonstrating per say, it’s more about the nature of the protest. If the protest was about job losses, that would’ve been okay, would it?
I can almost guarantee that if the protests were about "Gym owners lives matter" he would have been front and centre with his protein shake and bum bag.

Im wondering whether some people may have got mild symptoms and didnt know it
and it damaged their brains

Warning of serious brain disorders in people with mild coronavirus symptoms
UK neurologists publish details of mildly affected or recovering Covid-19 patients with serious or potentially fatal brain conditions

Neurologists are on Wednesday publishing details of more than 40 UK Covid-19 patients whose complications ranged from brain inflammation and delirium to nerve damage and stroke.
In some cases, the neurological problem was the patient’s first and main symptom.

that’s okay - they aren’t dead so it’s no big deal

I wonder if the fact people are drinking more and suffering more mental health deterioration is more so triggering neurological issues? The body works in mysterious ways and stress and inflammation whether it be from outside sources or self-inflicted can bring on many neurological conditions.

Why don't they just do what Sao Tome and Principe do? Crazy eh?

I dont know as I don’t have info around the nation and as we only deal in facts If you could provide me the link as to what they are doing, I’ll have a read and I can get back to You

The mild dose delirium theory has had medical backing it does explain a lot of things
The most delirious seem to be the anti mask its only a flu crowd ????

NSW case reporting

NSW has recorded 13 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. 11 of which are from returned travellers.

The other two, are Albury residents.

Dr Kerry Chant:
The two other additional cases were the probable cases that we identified in the media on the 3rd and 4th and they were Albury residents.

And whilst it’s not included in our numbers today, I want to indicate that there’s an additional family member that has tested positive and that family member has been in isolation for a number of days, when we first identified the cases in the initial indexed case.

Interesting that they are only count 2 out of the 3 new cases outside hotel quarantine in their reporting

its their new reporting method
Shame WA didn’t use it - we wouldn’t have recorded a single stat

For anyone who thinks the NZ Prime Minister can do no wrong and our PM can do no right...

It's an article about a hotel quarantine stuff up at the Stamford Plaza with private security guards.

NZ have done a far worse job of managing returned travelers than Victoria has. They've just been very lucky.

yes that was an absolute disaster
They got very lucky
I think it’s time that those who break the rules get slapped with extreme fines - might make people second guess

Didn’t realise Morrison was receiving flak for this - thought it was just Commie Dan

Morrison receiving no flak for the Melbourne Stamford Plaza - it is a state problem

If you look there are multiple issues with NZs hotel faulty system (it was leakier than Victorias) that they brought in weeks after we brought in ours - it's just interesting that in Australia we always get this narrative that the NZ PM is so amazing. Honestly I'd hate to think how many cases we'd have in Australia if we'd had the NZ system in every Australian city.

What little social media cocoon? As I’ve stated before, I get my information from the real world.
And why do you think your "real world" is not just another cocoon? I'm interested in how you define real world, why it is different to other peoples real worlds and why that makes your real world the only one we should listen too.

Agree about Arden, Tsai Ing-Wen, President of Taiwan set the benchmark early for controlling Covid but as she is persona non grata amongst some of the world heavyweights and WHO her efforts were ignored

Arden actually implemented most of the actions that Taiwan already had in place and took the glory.

that’s not to take away that she is an excellent PM and Morrison could take some notes from her (in my opinion)

Morrison has some very good state leaders in the National Cabinet and I think it’s a controlled effort that’s seen the success that’s occurred in Australia

it’s unfortunate that this outbreak is occurring because up until then, it was looking like we had missed the worst case scenarios that are occurring in other countries

Just a question, why do you think Taiwan is so great? They don't test at all.. about 3k per 1m in comparison to Australia 113k per 1m people. Why don't they test? Those numbers are terrible, for all we know it is rampant. Like I said, they are a quick swim from China, you'd be a deadset nuffy to believe Taiwan have escaped this, comical.

NSW police commissioner on DA's handling of the quarantine "Oh look, I think NSW Health realised Police needed to take control, you give the experts the role and they will get it done"

He then went on to say that NSW had 38k returned travellers with no issues (mingling was mentioned #fraternising).

A quick swim? 180kms isn't even a quick drive, you shouldn't be calling anyone a nuffy.

Taiwan is an island, they started doing inspections on travellers in December last year, and they stopped accepting flight from China on the 26th of January, earlier than we did. They started 14 day quarantines before we did. They stopped masks from being sold off overseas and rationed masks to their population. People wore masks and stayed home even when the Government said they didn't have to, in fact they protested against there not being rules around masks and public transport.

They setup thermal imaging at all train stations and airports.

They had a pandemic plan and a department for actioning it and a population that also remembered SARS. We'd not even done any pandemic planning in Australia since 2008 and most of us have only seen a pandemic on TV.

Our Governments and most people here have done pretty well considering how unprepared we were for this.

Being an island has helped massively, same for NZ, same for Taiwan.

165 today. The seven day drop hasn't occurred since locking up the first 10 postcodes.

However Melbournes now third with a bullet and they left that open inexplicably. Hopefully with seven more days we see some improvement.

However with testing regime no longer able to provide results in 24 hours we are seeing results 2 to 4 days old on average meaning decisions are getting made after the bird has flown.

At that's on the assumption they know what they are doing, which they don't. No one could argue the point they do. So they lock us up while they walk free 2 do as they wish

Expect the hotels 2 stay closed not one real change has been made so Dan will be asking 4 an extension. That is an intelligent move tbh, however they've twice told us it was fixed and they did nothing.

I did say months ago cedar meats was a cover up it took Ramadan 2 end before its tentacles reached out to the general public and the second cover up the hotels started a secondary outbreak at approximately the same time.

Perhaps they were unlucky they coincided but perhaps if they just did their job rather than covering it up for political reasons they would have been ok anyway.

They choose the latter path to take which put Victorian lives at risk so it's hard 2 have any empathy for the leadership, especially given their complete lake of empathy in the beginning blaming us.

The frontline workers, yes of course I still do have empathy especially the ones at cedar meats and hotels who they have silenced and blamed.

Yes Ardern has done a great job and I'd probably vote for her if I lived in New Zealand (though I have no idea who the other alternative leaders/parties are)

Though she has been very lucky with their hotel system

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12341432 runs through a few isolated incidents

Also worth noting that Australia have given a lot of support and assistance to NZ with the contract tracing system.

Again though our media are very quick to praise her and seem reluctant to criticise.

No one in Australia seems to have observed that 7 or 8 NZ Prime Ministers all decided that Australia gun laws weren't necessary in New Zealand. Though Ardern definitely shut the door in very empathetic fashion after that particular horse bolted in Christchurch

The world outside your door, away form the TV and computer screen, the one populated with real people. People who are not sick with Covid19, nor are their friends or family, nor are their neighbors, nor are their work colleagues, business associates, business owners at their local shops and so on. What we are being told and what the situation is in the real world do not match. I have a friend who lives in the hotspot area; doesn't have it, know anyone who has it, hasn't even had anyone knocking on her door for testing.

Which LGA are we talking about here?

So 158 positive tests in the towers from 2515 tests.

And that’s why they locked it all down.
