It would appear so, shorter games, less recovery needed, increase the frequency of the games.what is logic behind the reduced quarters
in anticipation of games squeezed in later on?
The weather argument is wishful thinking imo,

The growth rate of the virus is almost the same around the globe,

I mentioned in another comment, Australia isn't 'doing a good job', Australia is a month behind.
Since I posted this, Australia is now at 375 cases with 77 new cases yesterday.
I would guess we're well over 10,000 really
I think its steve hocking trying to be clever and trialling shorter quaters!what is logic behind the reduced quarters

Which makes the 6 deaths in Australia an even smaller percentage.I would guess we're well over 10,000 really
Yep. We won't have 20min quarters again. Be interesting to see if the players go back to full pay or not next year. Probably will thoughI think its steve hocking trying to be clever and trialling shorter quaters!
I've read estimates that without strict measures in place it's expected 70% of the population will get COVID-19 before the end of the year. With a current death rate of 0.5% that'll kill 87,500 people in Australia.Which makes the 6 deaths in Australia an even smaller percentage.

I’ve read that if you are healthy there is no need to wear a face mask yet healthy people do.I've read estimates that without strict measures in place it's expected 70% of the population will get COVID-19 before the end of the year. I'm healthy but my parents are in the 80+ bracket with one recovering from cancer. Not concerned about my health but am concerned about spreading it to others (assuming I get it).I’ve read that if you are healthy there is no need to wear a face mask yet healthy people do.
If you get it then yes spreading is an issue and hence the need for a face mask. Prior to that people are wasting a resource that others need.I'm healthy but my parents are in the 80+ bracket with one recovering from cancer. Agreed, there's a lot of panic right now and uncertainty. There's plenty of healthy people wearing masks and unhealthy people ignoring advise. Just makes it all that much harderIf you get it then yes spreading is an issue and hence the need for a face mask. Prior to that people are wasting a resource that others need.
