Even my gf said to me at half time tonight, "they're half way through and no one's caught it yet so what was all the worry about?"

Booked her in for her lobotomy next week.

A lot of people have a 'tune out' mentality in times of a crisis. Like my missus for example, just can't be effed with the influx of news and info and details about the virus. Which is fine so long as they at least understand the consequences of the virus and act accordingly. Which my gf has, taken time off work and gone into self-isolation, even if she doesn't really understand what she is isolating herself from.

Then there are those who can't be bothered reading up about it, or don't understand it, which means they must be immune to the consequences so therefore can do whatever the hell they want. They suck balls.

Willfully ignorant is probably the worst kind of ignorance. Sorry but I have no time or sympathy for those kind.

Stress has been building inside me as I’ve been contemplating exactly how I’m going to get all family members through this and out the other side. Had a release yesterday though. I had one of those Telstra technician scam calls. Usually I just politely tell them that I’m tracing the call and police will be knocking soon. But yesterday I just saw red and unloaded on the piece of crap like you wouldn’t believe.....something about tracking down the arseh*le with a baseball bat. In the middle of a health crisis life or death situation unlike we’ve seen this scum was trying to scam people. Then I became Melancholy for some reason. Some people on here won’t make it through. Seriously some won’t. I try to keep people at arms length. Have for a long time I’m afraid. Don’t let anyone close you don’t get hurt or disappointed. But reality is this site and those I am close to here .....my at arms length friends are a part of my life.....a small but valued part of my life and we are under threat. I just wanted to say love to all and god bless you whilst I still can

Once a virus claims a cell of a host it won’t be subject to that fragility but when it’s on surface or in air looking for a host they don’t like hot weather and die more rapidly. So yes the hot weather will impact transmission. I seem to recall 27c is the line in sand in that regard

in state schools with no facilities to do that?

Locally we have one private school did that so they are still teaching but around the world parents are home schooling

So why should they get paid to do nothing if that happens

Not sure, about state schools. My kids go to the local catholic primary school. The school has sent our letters noting how they will manage if schools are shut down.

Plenty of people are getting paid to do nothing at the moment.
