SG Government has stated that 'circuibreaker' restrictions will continue until the healthcare system won't be overloaded.

June 1st I can go outside again!

If you looked at budget estimates from last year we were scrapping a surplus of a few billion before the bushfires this financial year ($505bn of income verses spending of $501bn). National debt was a bit under 20% of GDP a conservative amount. Fast forward a year and income has dropped significantly and spending has gone through the roof. All of this on the back of debt and large amounts of it. Will be interesting to see how the budget intends to stimulate the economy. Very easy to turn everything off but somewhat harder to start it again.
You don't have to worry about the bushfire funding because that promise was actually 'notioanal'

I will also be reporting things to the admin team pointing out the illegality of the posts. If they choose to do nothing then this forum itself will likewise be in the firing line for promoting the worst types of ageism

Anyone else want to be included in my report happy to oblige
So you're not only an accountant and an epidemiological expert, you're also a legal expert now. If you (or anyone else) make further threats against other posters you will receive a ban.

If you want to report a post, use the report button. Do not post baseless threats.

I have worked my whole life (40 years) interpreting law and advising 400 odd accountants daily on the intricacies of all revenue law that they are unable to resolve themselves as my specific role and I have had several exposures to anti discrimination law so yes I’m highly equipped to resolve legality of such an issue and could. I’m no epidemiological expert don’t profess to be one but have a reasonable grasp on what’s happening. Full stop. I’m sorry that you clearly consider my post as heavy handed or beyond reasonable and it’s somewhat disappointing you resort to ridiculing me but meh. Im a little ocd and it manifests as Ott analysis of an issue especially an important one. I enjoy my life here and the people but if my stay is an unacceptable friction just say so and I’ll reluctantly leave

Tips:
1. no one will really notice.
2. Talk occasionally about 'saving the hairy arm pitted koalas with gender identification problems' , especially if they identify as gay (or any letter of the alphabet) and you will be OK!
3. Grow some balls and don't be so bullied nor put yourself down.
4. Swansfan51 is strange, but is generally fair and reasonable.

....are you "working from home"? I need some tax advice?

Under no illusion that anyone would care.

Prefer to be true to myself than fake about koalas arm pits or gender identity issues

Lol I’ve never been accused of not having balls. Rather too often I’m outspoken because I have

Havent had run ins with him at all. So can’t comment.

Yes working from home. Nowadays just look after a select group of clients who’ve been with me for 20 years each. Not looking for clients here in particular but happy to help you if I can.

This is for you & everyone on here.

If you have a problem with a moderator then please take it up with the mods or admin as required. Taking your grievances publicly or (for want of a better term) baiting them publicly isn't on.

I'm sorry you feel the way you do however the one overarching rule on here is pretty simple... An opinion isn't right or wrong. It is an opinion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and shouldn't ever feel threatened on here for having an opinion.

As swansfan51 noted, if you (or any other poster) threatens other posters for having an opinion then you will be punished according to BigFooty rules.

EDIT: Also, if you want swansfan51 to see your post then perhaps try @'ing/tagging him so he gets a notification next time. Cheers.

With respect GTG I made no threat to anyone. The law just like the rules here are designed to protect and to a degree they overlap. They must. If anyone does the remotest thing that potentially breaks the law then it is a right of a member and an obligation of moderator that be stopped. It’s a civic duty in some respects hardly worthy of being held as a threat then ridicule my credentials which as it turns out had he asked are ample to adduce a legal conclusion comfortably. The day that seeking a legal remedy if I do offered by law becomes a threat is a disappointing day I’m afraid. I could have dealt with it differently and perhaps that was his point to be less confrontational and I accept that. Perhaps I could have been less cut throat in response too but I was attacked by the poster as being ignorant who then promoted his views I saw as potentially illegal. Forgive me but I call a spade a spade. It seems to me I’m being punished for simply being opinionated about something that deserved it.

SF51 could have just said please tone it down puke we want harmony. No drama with me. But to mischaracterise my actions as a threat followed by rebuking me with ridicule which was misdirected and in error is plan wrong IMO. In fact the post should have been reported unless moderators aren’t held to sane standards.

Mods take note of this and enrol for a degee in law for semester 2 to keep this guy happy.

Obviously your role as a VOLUNTEER monitoring idiot posters like myself needs improving.

Despite the government knowing that factually there will be no economic ramifications and job keeper etc cover all (fact apparently) they seem keen to get the economy going again

good news brining date to discuss forward

also afl getting conditions to come back, no long term stupid hubs by the looks

it won't happen, but the higher newstart money should stay. Or universal income should be given a good looking at.

I work with a lot of Newstart recipients

so many of them are lazy pricks living off welfare can’t get off drugs etc and carried by the taxpayer, it’s unfair

flip side others are on it and really restricted by it , genuinely need more help

maybe the best way would be a user system that is assessed on a case by case basis , help those who need it

Yep hear you. so don’t then cast an opinion about legal position then eh eg by ridiculing my credentials and err in the conservative is what I do did when I was moderator elsewhere. Easy fixed. I don’t expect a legal expert. I do expect respect

With the up most respect, I think you've lost the plot.

or just accept there will always be a percentage of loss in any system. We pay for shoplifting in every item we buy. Never punish the many for the sins of the few.

Shrinkage*

Pedantic, but it's shrinkage, covers shoplifting, missing inventory, damaged goods, etc etc

This has really exploded, apologies for the delay but as pointed out by brad cooper and others, I have a day job. Unfortunately but unsurprisingly, the moderators are all volunteers and we don't get paid for our labour of love in deleting shitposts and defending the board from Norf and other trolls. All of us have other time commitments and we do the best we can as fast as we can.

puke, I deleted your post and only quoted a small part as a warning to everyone, not just you, that threats to posters are not acceptable. There is a system to report posts, please use it. I never received an inbox message from you, I do try to respond to those promptly around other commitments.

The decision wasn't just mine, it was the unanimous view of all of the Sydney board moderators, and it is a position that is not going to change.

As to the content of the deleted post you took issue with, I do not believe it should be reported to authorities. Could it have been phrased more tactfully? No doubt, but that is The King's posting style and it is generally viewed as harmless.

You yourself posted earlier in the thread to ask which celebrities people hoped came down with a nasty case of coronavirus. I also deleted that post after someone reported it. I believe we treat posters pretty equally.
