Andrews will step down once the investigation into HQ is complete. He ****ed up there so bad that it will cost him his career. Better leader than the other mob but will have no excuse to stay as Premier

Which is a sad thought when our best option shat the bed

My point is that whatever Andrews did or didnt do is currently irrelevant as that was months ago and the continued spread is being perpetuated by people breaking or ignoring rules and laws. If everyone was following the rules we would have plateaud and started declining by now, its that simple.

Andrews' culpabilitity, and there will be some to be found, can be discussed and judged when its under control, and if he is confirmed to have ****ed up then how can anyone argue against it. But right now the contiuned spread is entirely under the control of the public and its not being controlled.

I am wanting harder lockdowns so that control is not so much in the hands of people who dont even care, but I know damn well it wont matter unless he actually does go dictator Dan, then its more than a political weapon and an actual reality.

I can only offer my opinion and observations of the Melbourne public, which you cannot do as you live in another state and one that is lucky enough to barely have had any COVID trouble since this first started.

I hope we can all escape this with minimal loss of life. I’m not close enough to know whether mistakes were made in vic or not but if NSW is a fair comparison then it took the full brunt but has traced its way to a measure of success now jeopardised by Vic import of the virus. Despite now getting high teen cases a day virtually ALL are traced to known outbreaks. The amount of effort devoted to that tracing is simply incredible. There are untold lives saved directly attributable to that effort of that we can be sure.

Melbourne people might be able to confirm, but part of the problem seems to be that the Victorian opposition is weak. If they were doing their job, Victoria might get a Dan Andrews that they like better.

For a major political party leader he is a no-name from what I have seen. The only time I see him is his one line jabs on the news. He has no prescence at all.

He'll still win though.

Without going into detail I know someone who knows someone who has the virus because his boss went to work with it and didn't close down.

Local place that couldn't qualify for jobkeeper because he was paying everyone under the table and was bitching about it.

Liberal or Labor Premier is irrelevant. It seems that even if the government had taken the best course of action it wouldn't have mattered because people are people and there are far too many of them who think that rules don't apply to them.
We live in a time where we are reaping what we have sown by elevating the 'rights' of the individual over the needs of the community. It is more uncommon now for people to make personal sacrifices for the good of others.
I am sounding like an old man but I see this everywhere and the whole refusal to isolate or even wear masks is just the latest manifestation of it.

I really don't understand why some businesses still do this, they only hurt themselves in the end.
