Personally I'd put all returning travellers on Christmas island for a month.
From what I've read - which in all honesty has dropped off a lot recently as I'm kind of over it, seems to be most of the outbreaks in the last 6 or so weeks can be traced back to problems in hotel quarantine.

I wonder what makes it more infectious than the original but I suspect the actual answer is well above my knowledge in the field

Who really knows, the way they are reporting it spread through a nebuliser and it travelled through the air conditioning system in the holiday inn sounds like a load of shit to me.

I don't know how nebulisers work but if it got into the air con, it wouldn't surprise me

So Labor government gets smashed for months for not letting the economy open up, health of citizens be damned. Now he is getting smashed by the same group of people for allowing an important economic sporting event to go ahead 'ahead of the health of others'.

Especially when tennis has nothing to do with this right now.

Bubbles are ok for footy and cricket, as it's easier to keep teams together plus the players aren't from overseas. Risk is much lower.

There is a bigger risk for the tennis, as players are flying in from all over the world, and professional tennis players are some of the most entitled athletes going around and come with their own entourages.

But I agree that the Feds are the ones who need to step up and take responsibility here.
