Yeh it’s starting up in Victoria. Vaccination is the only end to this. Got my first Pfizer jab today. Sore arm all night & didn’t sleep at all last night but apart from that it’s all good.

The blame this time is solely with Gladys not closing shops and doing a proper lockdown , it's not political , it's fact .

Feel it's Scomo more than Gladys, as NSW is so important to the Coalition. I think she wants to do the right thing but is under huge pressure to keep things open because of the economy... well if we allow uncontrolled spread of the virus no-one will give a shit about the economy. Already 40 people in ICU across the state, enough said.
 
My experience today. Went to Drs and on the way home passed in excess of 20 people out and about without a single mask even hanging off an ear!!!
People wearing masks = 4.

WHY ARE PEOPLE SO FRACKING STUPID!!!

Did Scomo have hand in pushing for Palaszczuk to hold off the lockdown in Brisbane even though there were active cases until after state of origin 2? After all Origin with its 50k spectators is a boost to the economy for Brisbane. Even though there was a risk with active cases in the community.

Funny that. Based on Medical Advice The Grand Prix was good to go but Dan and his band of merry men decided to cancel. Only take the advice of his health experts when it suits ? Truth is there is no Grand Prix again because they can’t pay for it. This State and currently the whole ****ing nation are a pathetic rabble. 3 influential people in politics currently typifies what sort of comedic vaudeville act we have become. Morrison, Joyce and Andrews. LMFAO.

Wouldn't the GP bring in more revenue than the cost of hosting it? Otherwise why ever host it to begin with?

It’s been losing money for 10 years. The thing was on its knees well before Covid. Just underling the pick and choose mentality of this Government. They choose not to have it quite simply because they can’t afford it not because of medical experts advice. But the lockdown that is imminent is based on the advice of Health experts. Please ! They are a joke.

Money had nothing to do with it, the race has lost money every year it has been run since 1996. F1 refused to do the 14-day mandatory quarantine period to enter the country before the race weekend and instead asked for a fly-in, fly-out arrangement for drivers, team officials, and staff as they had a race in Brazil on the 7th of November which would've seen the drivers sitting in their hotel rooms come race day if they did 14 days in quarantine.

I agree that vaccination is the only way out of this. I still don't understand how nearly half the cases announced today were in the community for their infectious period. I think its the journo Chris O'Keefe who said that testing results from Fairfield area will start to come in tomorrow, so we might see a big jump in cases.

I'm also surprised that Liverpool hasn't seen similar number of covid cases to Fairfield, as they are both next to each other and share similar demographics. For that matter, Bankstown either. I think we'll dodge a bullet if the majority of cases are only in the Fairfield LGA.

It's frustrating they are allowed to troll. I know most would be sensible but it really derails the discussion imo.

I like BF because it doesn't have too many trolls and they get dealt with pretty quickly by mods. BF also has a good amount of people from different states/backgrounds/age groups providing views and discussion points that I wouldn't usually consider. But shit like trolls on the Covid threads really piss me off. I've seen first hand impact of Covid and it's nothing to troll about imo.
 
Just watched the news and saw the arrogant response from Gladys when asked why she didn't lock down properly as it has worked in Victoria. The complete ****wit won't ever want to set foot in Victoria after that because she won't make it out alive.

Sick of hearing your anti-Andrews bullshit. ****ing hate lockdown but we could just pretend like it's not happening and let it spread across the country like the dumb campaigner in New South Wales whose inaction has for at least the third time seeded outbreaks in Victoria.
