Hey guys, those of you who have had a vaccine wondering if any of you noticed whether the nurse/dr/whoever delivered the shot aspirated before injection. Basically, when they jabbed the needle into your arm did they just push down on the plunger or did they draw back to see if they had accidentally hit a blood vessel first before then pushing down on the plunger?

I've been tracking a theory by the guy in the video bellow in which he's been wondering if the problem with the poor reactions is whether in rare cases the jab misses the muscle and goes into the bloodstream by accident. He's been dirty on the UK health authorities not instructing its health professionals to aspirate when injecting the vaccine, WHO has been saying to do so, but unsure what we are doing down here.

Anyway, interesting vid discussing a new paper that has come out that talks about AZ and blood clots possibly being caused by this [accidentally hitting a blood vessel on injection]

That is a super interesting hypothesis! I hope that it turns out to be true...

Our COVID situation has been sabotaged by the disgraceful coverage by the major outlets (7, 9, news.com. elements of NewsCorp) the entire time.

No wonder we are a nervous wreck of a nation now. Who needs Chinese disinformation campaigns when the local media does the job already?
No idea what you're talking about. The media has been effusive in it's fair coverage over a pretty impressive effort from the global med science community...

Their 'news' is akin with their footy coverage. Fear to build audience share through unsubstanciate, unqualified opinions dressed up as new.

I leave it all alone and seek out data and facts. Truth is AU is in a brilliant position. Close the borders early, as some said it was racist, if not we would bve the UK or US position. Complacency is now our problem. Better than deaths.

Sorry to be a downer, but how do they get away with reporting like this? AstraZeneca: Woman dies after first dose (news.com.au)
5 weeks, after a long plane ride with underlying health conditions.

The Media: The amount of Australian's not vaccinated is a failure by our government compared to other countries

Also the media: ZOMG this person who took a vaccine may or may not have had a bad reaction caused by it

Wife works for Pzifer. They are supplying the good stuff for employees and their familys.

After asking her for years to get me Viagra I'll have to settle with being on the receiving end of a jabbing instead.

Your wife probably thinks both of those involve a little prick :p

And the self perpetuating cycle continues in another form. Not dissimilar to the AFL media. Prematurely pump up tyres of team X. Team X shits bed, media hammer them for a week. Team X bounces back. Media prematurely pump them up....

The bit in car movies where the dude in the other car catches them so they shift down a gear and scoot off so the other dude shifts down a gear and catches him etc etc

At the end of wherever they are fastly and furiously trying to get to, are they in -123’rd gear?

Why dont they just start in that gear in the first place?

Numbnuts - why do i have to do all the heavy lifting in the thinking department?

I still watch his global overview videos every now and again. They were particularly good in the early stages of the pandemic.

To encourage vaccination take-up, which in turn will allow us to avoid lockdowns every time a new case pops up.
Way more than 80% needs vaccinated. Even if those was achieved, the goal posts will shift.

Remember when flattening the curve was a thing? It's a year and a half later with this nonsense.

Mans a saint. So how about it, you had a jab and noticed one way or another if they aspirated?

Edit: I was watching him in January last year btw. All my mates thought it was hilarious I was talking about something that was "just the flu, bro" and highly concurred that closing borders was racist. They all believe they are still right about everything pandemic related even now, cause they watch The Project and read the West.

Whether true or untrue, it will make no difference. Lets say its true, are the AMA really going to issue a statement which would in effect say "look, we had one job. jab. push. We ****ed up, it should be jab. pull. push." For the sake of confidence in our public health officials 1 life in 100k is not worth losing face over. People with severe side effects aren't death statistics so they matter even less.

Perhaps. But anyone, AMA included, would be able to blame AZ for not including aspiration in the product labeling.

Hmm. Interesting take. I wonder if they would do such a thing in their labelling?I wouldn't of assumed so because vaccines are administered by trained professionals usually and medical standards would differ depending on where you are. I do know that the WHO guideline recommend aspirating to the busted arse countries who rely on them to set standards where none exist, but assume us first worlders do our own thing. Have never given anyone a vaccine so not sure thats how it works.

I think it is best practice to aspirate for intramuscular jabbing but that perhaps they [AMA types] dumbed down the requirements thinking that eventually they wanted jabs being delivered at the chemist, petrol station, maccas drive through etc. wider range of people rather than Dr's and Nurses sort of thing.

Anyway, in this case it was not anticipated that the spike protein in the vaccine would be harmful. Shouldn't matter if the dose gets in the bloodstream if the active agent couldn't do cell damage. It clearly does though so liability ultimately falls back to supplier. BUT, Jesus good luck getting anyone to say that outloud quite yet. Best it remains a medical mystery.

Ok people, we have a plan. Booster shots, unrestricted travel for the vaccinated, and this "When it is like the flu, we should treat it like the flu and that means no lockdowns," whatever that means.

So basically, great news for most of you on this thread, assuming nothing changes in the next 6-8 months [I'm sure it won't]. Pop the Champaign.

Area of concern for me: The fully vaccinated can catch and shed, and therefore spread, the virus even if they are, yes, mostly protected from the severe side for now [pending arrival or new variants which is an unknown.]

Appears Morrisons advice is: if everyone is vaccinated corona will still be around but its impact will be comparable to the flu.

The pandemic is solved, now just a waiting game for more of the good stuff to arrive and make its way into arms nationwide.
