Thats true theres a story every second week about him being injured and in doubt. Seaby and Naita will be able to handle the ruck against Hawthorn anyway.

Seaby? ugggghhh i'd rather Lynch and Naita

If Cox is even slightly injured i reckon we give Seaby some time at AFL level. It has the benefit of potentially adding to Cox's longevity as well as maybe possibly adding to Seaby's trade value (if he turns in a few good performances.)

give him the rest of the year off?
On a serious note, no. On an equally serious note, if he is injured we should rest him. The priority should be managing his injuring over playing him to win a game. I wouldn't want to play him only to get a serious injury and miss a pre-season or somthing in 2010.

Good chance to throw Naita into the deep end too. Probably with seaby.

The only trade Seaby's in danger of next year is getting traded from West Perth to another WAFL club, he's as good as finished at AFL level

Cox's longevity has to be made a high priority. If that means we go in with an understrength ruck division this year so be it.

Exactly:thumbsu:

The last thing we want is him playing on with a foot / stress fracture or whatever. Just refer to Croad and Matty Eagan who kept on playing on, now they look like missing an entire season of footy.

Agree we play Seaby and NickNat.....especially Seaby.

With clubs such as Brisbane, Essendon, Crows and even the Pies having their ruck divisions stretched severely this season I can see more clubs being interested in Seaby this trade / draft period.

Playing Ryder and Brennan types as a first ruck is how you shorten the careers of these guys.

Yeah I think giving Deano a rest would be a good thing...and giving Seaby a last chance as per Woosha's directive would not be a bad thing either.

This better not be a sign of a tank!

Did we look better when Naita was in the ruck against Richmond? I happen to agree with Walls (no surprise there I know ) but we were far more dangerous when Naita was around the ball.

Could this simply be a test against a weaker ruck division, or could it be the beginning of the end for Cox? :D (I'm only joking if you couldn't tell).

Naita rucking most of a game would be interesting...
