Firstly I dont think racing to win should be so short, we have already seen other sydnet siders struggle going the other way round, El Segundos last run was dissapointing and I dont think Gauci is up to it.....at all.

How good was pompeii ruler on the weekend. To go out of its comfort zone and lead that group of horses and to just about get over the line was a fantastic effort. Casual Pass finished very well, although Pompeii's run was an absolute belter.

I will definetly be on it in the cox plate, its first two wins were fantastic, it then jarred up on the hard ground, I dont think you can argue with its form....what are peoples thoughts on this horses chances??

Red Dazzler was also ultra impresive, people were starting to jump off it because it was running places, but its consistency is obviously very important. It also is looking the goods and did it very well last start. Mick Price was talking up its chances before the race and said it has been flying the last two weeks.....

And you cant rule out the great FOO, who is looking good for one more tilt....

This cox plate will be the race of the spring again, with a lot of in form horses and some genuine contenders from overseas. What are our thoughts??

Grey Swallow will win. Much too good for anything we've got to offer. Only concern is race fitness but it's won first up over 2000m before.

From the race's point of view, I wouldnt mind it winning.

Anything apart from ES,RTW or GS & we've got a credibility problem IMHO.

Pompeii Ruler's a nice horse but it's basically in its 2nd prep.
Red Dazzler is a rung below the best,FOO's an old warhorse but dual Cox Plate champion?

When you look at the stars who couldnt win it,im hoping for 1 of the big 3.

Always forgive a good horse 1 bad run,not that he went that bad.
You'll now get $4 when $2.25 looked top odds had he won.

What has Gauci done to you lads?
Seriously,he's better on leaders but I doubt it's gunna matter

roughy apache cat if it runs. real tough horse who loves the valley and it was a big run when just beaten by the Lad who is also now back into calculations after reading that D oliver has lost the ride.

El Segundo the horse to beat IMO
