With this track its hard to go against Makybe...

But how does LOTM go on a slow, wet track?

Will be backing Gods Own & believing what my eyes sore at Caulfield.
Will have to give the Diva a head start, due to barriers (cant believe Im backing something that I think will give her a head start).
Just hoping either Boss goes for one of his 'inside runs' & or just she gets cluttered up.

Past winners such as Savabeel, Dane Ripper & Super Impose show that if things dont go right for the favoured horses, that their are plenty of other horses with the ability to take advantage of their own good fortune.

To be honest given all things equal the Diva wins, but Im not prepared to take the shorts on offer & will be looking elsewhere & a bit of luck.

Good punting all.

Ive won the trifecta two out of the past 4 years in the Cox Plate, The 3 I have on are worth having a shot at (im poor :D)

1. Makybe Diva
2. Lotteria
3. Lad Of Manor

1. Gods Own
2. Makybe Diva
3. Confectioner

1. Desert War
2. Makybe Diva
3. Fields of Omagh

Not sure how Desert War runs on the wet track, Cox plate is always good for the trifecta, I dont normally bother with anything other then trifectas on this day.

Does anybody know how much this is paying?

I'm sure you're all familiar with the saying - form is temporary...

therefore, my Cox Plate trifecta is:

1. Makybe Diva.
2. Fields of Omagh.
3. Lad Of The Manor.

Roughie: Hotel Grand.

well I got two of the placings :)

Makybe was elementary, but anybody who writes off a champion like Fields of Omagh needs a kick up the proverbial.

SHAME! ;)

is it true that Xcellent finished stone motherless?

oh god that would be funny.

I dont think his race was too bad. Had to make his run 5-6 deep and in the end just couldnt keep with them. 9th I think

Bad luck mate.... I rate that effort. With Lotteria in in... maybe you should have given the exacta a go, hehe

It seemed like I was the only one who rated Lotteria, I knew he wud get infront and was fairly confident he wud be top 5. Lad of Manor was very disappointing though

What an effort from both Makybe Diva and Fields of Omagh, I thought Fields was too old but he hanged on for 3rd.

Lad of the Manor did not dissapoint me one bit

2nd Last coming into the straight with a wall of horses in front of it, had to go around them and flashed home for 5th

Johns should be sacked after that ride, to be in that position in the first place was a disgrace

Great win by Makybe, just needed a clean run even if it was 20 wide

Yeh thats what I meant, should explained it more, it was terribly ridden.

Great day. I'm just back from the track. I backed 4 winners - I got Chills, Duelled, Matras and of course the mighty Diva. They were all pretty short priced but I stil made a little. I chickened out of sticking all my winnings on the Diva but cheered her home & then got a spray of champagne off Glen Boss when he ran along giving high-fives to the punters after the presentation.

Makybe Diva - beyond a legend.
