Racing Cox Plate

Sometimes you see a betting market and scratch your head. I've looked at this a number of times but for the life of me cannot see how Mystic Journey is on the second line at $7.
Couldn't get past Gatting in the Craiglee, unplaced in the Turnbull (Looks like Elvis finished alongside it) and has never won over the distance.
That's simply not a Cox Plate winning profile.
I rate about 7-8 rivals ahead of it.

I suspect you’re but it wouldn’t totally shock to see her run a race here. Ambled up to them in the Craiglee but remember she was a month between runs, think she ran out of condition. The Turnbull was little more than a barrier trial the way that race was run and the track was playing.

Suspect she’s just not quite as good as we’d hoped, but also think she’s been set specifically for this and should get a lovely run. Anyway we’re about to find out.

Homesman the other I could se improve. Put in a flat run before his terrific CC effort last year. First two runs were very good.

First race too hard to call. Something small on a box tri with Mildred / ideas man / it's a deel

Race 3 I got a lot of time for Fascino

Race 4 villami Race 5 condos express will do a double there

Race 6 moonlight maid, I'm going against the fav. Looks to have some improvement, this horse.

I like the Irish galloper Downdraft in race 7
I like Mr quickie too but just let the punters down too often lately. Could win it without a doubt. I'm backing the Irish to have the edge though. Humidor no not at this distance.

Race 8 Dreamforce
Also keen to have something each way on Cliffs Edge
I think he can possibly back up the crystal mile 2 years in a row.

Maps well, should box seat or sit on speed. Loves MV. Form is OK leading into this, similar formline to his last year win. Might head down to the tote for an each way. Actually, I reckon he can win this.

Might go a double Downdraft x Dream force / something each way on cliffy. Can't see him running a bad race today.

Not really understanding what the money for Sinkadarabad is for? Don't know if he can run em down over the mile. Gailo chop also not sure if he's going well enough but he will be there too. Tough race.

Cox plate if I was loaded with cash I'd go for the jap horse, but I'm not, so sharky it is.

Alright, I knew I never should have studied the form. Today's either gonna cost me or its gonna be fun.

If history is a guide Epsom milers rarely are up to Cox Plate level (Winx the exception)

Look I love Gator but to be honest - can't do international form for shit and they are most of the winning chances - I'd have it in my top 3 or 4 locals too

He has done the same as last week - thrown in a random raider and then just picked the locals at the top of the market

He had Mr Quickie in his CC top 4 last week #thatwentwell

I've heard mixed opinions about gator. I respect his opinion, he works in the industry whereas I do not obviously. But I believe Shark was very unlucky in the Epsom and still had a bit to give.

It's building..... If I didn't see the pattern I wouldn't have put my money on it. Lightly raced and had all the top sectionals in the Epsom.

I'll shut up because I might make myself look like a fool later, but I'm very keen to see how it runs.

Been following him since then too, been a bit stiff in all of his runs here in aus. The hopeful side of me says that he's primed and ready for this one.

I like Opie back on board. JMac gave him a shocking run in the tramway.
