Yes I agree that his time is nearing the end.

Time to promote Sinclair to second ruck. Lycett is a Liability, too slow.

Cox has been solid, not terrible in relative terms to all other ruckmen. But if you are going to play nic nat forward, can u kick to him one on one more often. jeepers if i looked up and had the option of josh hill on the boundary 45 metres out or nic one on one 10 metres out i won't be looking boundary side. imo, nic nat fulltime ruckmen (90%rucking) > nic nat/cox 50/50. Cox has 1 year left extra. anything more would be detrimental to nic nat's development into an elite player

Yeah he spends too much time
Looking at the umpires like a hurt little boy then following up a second effort. Thank god for nic nat. We are the only team in the league that can afford to lose a AA ruckman and have him covered. Lets let cox retire, free up some cap space, bring in Sinclair so he can develop and go from there.

We should keep an eye on the Leuenberger situation. We have trade-able options to get him if Cox's form falls away drastically as the season progresses.

However last week he was better, not up to his usual high standards but he was very crucial to us winning against St.Kilda.

Personally I dont think we should go after Luenberger. We don't need to cover Cox's loss as Naitanui is going to be destroying it and it would be wasted money when we should be chasing midfielders and maybe a CHB.

Pretty sure Brisbane and Leuenberger are close to a new deal

Sadly we might not see another cox at the club for a few years, but thank god we have a freak in nic nat. That is all.

Cox's statistical output was generally superior to Sinclair despite his seemingly impressive form.

I think we've taken for granted his excellence and while he's having a dip this year, his dip is still more impressive than most rucks (Against WB he got beaten by Minson in the ruck until Naita came in but had greater influence around the ground and up forward). He's playing fine aside from the flailing which isn't as bad as it was last year.

I should add that I'm sure the break is going to help Coxy work out any niggles (He was keen for a break against GWS but Lycett and Sinclair were both injured) he's had and hopefully he'll be a bit more agile for the rest of the year.

1.) You're not getting Lyon.
2.) If you considered that abuse, you need more than just a tablespoon of cement dust.
3.) You're not getting me either. EVER!

This is true...oh wai....

It's sad how appropriate it is with me getting tagged in a thread about a worn out old dick.:(

I didn't consider this abuse, but i considered the bullshit you post on your own board as abuse. I used to post on the free board until you chased me off. You're a terrible poster "bushy", the ultimate definition of a keyboard warrior.

Well, you know, some of us don't really need WCE "freagles" wishing us well on our own board.

And if terrible is the worst that I cop today, then it is a good day.:thumbsu:

Here, having a freakin rainbow, ya sook.:rainbow:

Cox was very good tonight a lot of quality clearances from his ruck knocks and looked dangerous up foward,
got a bit of the footy used it well.

Disagree

I was at the game last night. I can't comment on his ruck ability per se tonight as it's too far away to minutely see but I was at the goal end he was stationed at in the last quarter.

Based on that last quarter my overriding feeling was that he's cooked, game has passed him by. Couldn't compete very well in marking, couldn't chase. After a few contests, looked disinterested. And his body language was of that of a player that realises the end is near.

I was at the game and he had a bad last quarter that was all.

He seemed to lack confidence with his kicking for goal passing within the first few minutes of the first quarter a very getable chance by trying to kick it to Darling and turning it over and then doing it again in the 4th quarter.

He was dire from start to finish. Non competitive in marking contests, only actually attempts to compete at about half the ruck duals, directly cost us goals with lazy kicks and is too slow and lumbering to apply any pressure nowadays.
