Opinion Cox...

This is true but what happens if he dominates for 5-6 weeks and still can not get a game as a reward for his hard work?
He's doing well but not really dominating.

He's doing well but not really dominating.

Yes he is.

Even his sub 20 disposal games he's getting over 20 hitouts, taking 6-8 marks a lot of them important ones, hitting the scoreboard. He's doing this playing forward around 60% to 50% of the time.

Is he in good enough form to perform to a level in the AFL that will be competitive and avoid getting dumped back to the WAFL after one attempt? Because that's what will happen with our MC.

Still though if he is dominating and we give him a game and say he gets beaten, I think that one game would mean the world to him not to mention show him he still has to work harder and harder.

The previous mistakes of the match committee don't concern me. There is a limit to how much he can develop and learn in a competition in which he is rapidly becoming physically dominant.

Id play him against the Dogs and Suns back to back.

Very disappointed with Cox last night. And I made a point of studying him closely.

Every single play he is involved in: Ruck Contest, going for a mark... his first and foremost thought is around how he will get a free kick. That's how he approaches every contest.

Don't believe me, rewatch the game and watch how he competes in the ruck now.

Thought he would go round again. Will be a proud moment if he knocks Jacko off, hopefully we will get a 300 gamer one of these days! Cousins should have been.............:( Lycett and Sinclair wont be too happy but they don't have too long to wait and a bit more development for them alongside Cox. Would we ever consider Cox as a sub next year? little bit leftfield but could work in the right game.

There was that one passage where he just didn't move as the player picked up the ball and ran towards goals with it from the HFF. Second quarter maybe? Was not a good look.

Has been carrying an injury all year and with Nic Nats injury he has to ruck a lot more than was intended. Imagine if Glass was carrying the backline with No Emac and you would see the same result. Cox's body can not stand the rigors of rucking solo and if in the coming weeks Lycett can play alot more minutes in the ruck Cox will benefit it.

One more year is appropriate, given we've seen what has happened this year with a lack of appropriate midfield cover (*coughStevensEbertSwiftcough*), and the net effect of exposing several young players to the backline at once. Having Cox at the very least handing over the reins to Lycett in a transitional year is an effective way of managing our ruck stocks going forward.
