CRAIG or EADE - THE FINAL POLL

Eade for me out of the two options.

I would have preffered O'Donnell from the little I know of the prospective coaches as we have little of the insight that the sub-committee would have.

We need a change, that much is clear, and it would not be fair for Ayresy to take all the blame for what has happened at the AFC in recent times.

Craig has impressed me with his media work in the last month and I think he has been a terrific servant of the club. So whilst I would prefer Eade I dont thinks its necessary to publicly insult Craig to support Eade as some have done.

If Neil is appointed then he must be given two years to see what he can do.

All of us suport the AFC and regardless of the decision made we should continue to do so. Those threatening to tear up their memberships - for shame.

93% of the vote so far is impressive. Go Rocket!

Maybe Craig will get the Norwood job next year, good luck too em. :D

They just showed Eade at the Adelaide airport on seven news, and said that the there are only two candidates left. I think it looks pretty good for Eade.

I voted Eade! Out of the two options, i'd give Eade a two yr contract (with the option of a third). Deserves another chance, and he is a thinking man on match day which we havent had since Blighty!

I wouldnt b **********ed off if Craig got the gig or act like a big drama queen like some people will, but i think Eade deserves it ahead of Craigy!

Rocket and Rehnny sitting next to eachother next year?? what are the odds??

They also said in the paper that Eade wants an answer in the next week and they think that the Crows will not be prepared to do that.
Seems familar doesnt it?!?

I think thats fair enough for Eade to demand that, as he is also in the running for a number of other jobs aswell, it seems he has Adelaide on the top of his list of jobs. I think that the AFC have to show the same faith otherwise we'll lose him. If he is lost then the board can have no excuses like they did for Wallace.

One week is more than adequate for the board to make a decision, but it seems Eade has given them a timeline for a decision so like it or not they have to make it this week.

Wouldn't it be great if Craig wasn't the other candidate left?

Ooops  i accidentally clicked on the wrong box.

Guess i will have to build a case for Neil Craig now (might take a while)

Who ever it is i prey that he brings in some fresh assistant coaches from clubs other than our own.

But who ever is named i will back him & the club to the hilt unconditionally 100%.

I will be very unhappy if the AFC select Craig. It will be many steps backwards. Rodney Eade is a tried and tested AFL coach with a very astute football brain. We need him.

AFC, do the right thing for the club !!

Eade for me, can't add to the comments above.

Except - if it is Craig, then as others have said, we support the club. Unless there's not a cleanout of the rest of the coaching box and some seriously creative trading and drafting activity. Then I'd have to stick to supporting the players through what will be a very trying time for them....

That (the Crows will not be prepared to do it) it just Rucci making things up to make himself sound important.

I would like to see the same poll put towards the Adelaide football media and see how different the results would be...i'd guessing completely opposite.

I cant really be bothered reading much in the paper now about the whole Craig saga but I was wondering if anyone in the media has written why they dont want Eade?

All i have seen is the media talking up Craig with what i believe to be flimsy evidence but nothing on why Eade would not be a good appointment, or why Craig is better than Eade.

So say if Eade does become the new coach in the next few weeks, does Craig go back to assisant before the seaon is over? or next season or does he not go back to being an assisant?

I dont think Eade would want him around, and I think that is fair enough.
I think Craig is a good assistant coach and he would be valuble asset to the club but I dont see it happening.

thats what i was thinking, Eade would bring his own person in or at least look around. it would give Craig the feeling of "you aren't wanted ..or you aren't good enough".

Heart breaking I know Craig... *sniff* :o ;)

I think the best thing for Craig to do is go back to Norwood and if he can get Norwood competitive again who knows but I honestly think Criag's ship has sailed.

Rodney Eade great tactician, did alot of good things with Sydney, fresh ideas and hopefully a cleanout of the 'boys' club at the AFC will result.

Rodney Eade is the Man ;)

The best thing for Craig would be to become an assistant of a Melbourne club and get some exposure at a different club and get himself better known over there. At a guess, this is what he'll do if he misses out.

I agree...but replace Melbourne club with any another AFL club. Then we'll find out if he can cut the mustard away from SA, learn some new stuff and give himself a fighting chance next time a job becomes vacant.

I don't think it would be a good idea for him to stick around, either for him or the club.
