dear big footy members I wish to vent my rage at crazy frog for reasons of a different kind. now as you may know crazy frog has released an album of cover versions that are crap and cover versions of TWO OF MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE SONGS APPEAR on the album. they are

1. harold faltermayers Beverly hills cop theme
AND
2. Popcorn by hot butter
crazy frog has done his own versions of the songs

now ever since I was little I loved listening to the song popcorn by hot butter. My dad introduced me into the song. indeed we would often play it on the old turtable. I also loved the song the beverly hills cop theme. it sounded cool and I saw the movive a few time just to hear that song.

so I grew up and I now play the piano and keyboard as a hobby and more recently me and a few friends have gotten into composing electronic music on computers. my friends and I coincidentally shared a similar taste in music. my friends loved the songs popcorn and beverly hills cop too. so it seemed only natural that we would decide to try and compose some of our own electronic music and as we had a love for the songs popcorn and beverly hills cop it seemed only fitting that we would do our own unique cover versions of the songs but CRAZY FROG ****** THAT UP FOR US. me and my friends who although were planning to go to uni also planned to have music as a hobby that could one day become a career. all my family and friends who heard our music were deepply impressed

but alas a month ago I was just about to compile a CD of our works including remixes of popcorn and beverly hills cop when out comes crazy frog with his beverly hills cop remix. I quickly searched the net and found he had also remixed popcorn.
OUR DREAMS WERE SHATTERED. How could we release a CD of our works with popcorn and Beverly hills cop included when crazy frog already did it. IF WE EVER WENT TO A RECORD COMPANY and showed them our work they would say it was a blatant rip off of crazy frog and would tell us to ******** off. everyone would think we were just copy offs. so with that I JUST GAVE UP AND concentrated on getting a business diploma. and now I never want to bother writing music again. If I cannot do do cover versions of popcorn and beverly hills cop theme which I feel so passionante about then I may as well give up

I feel for you man.

I'm the guy who made 'the other' macerena. Not the one by los delos or whatever.
I made the macerena and my mum told me it was the best.

Then he brang his version out the day before, and his had the extra bits with the girls singing. Mine was no match, and since then, i've tried only once more to release a song. But eiffle 69 beat me to it, come on, I have a blue house with a blue window - how can 2 different people come up with those same lyrics? I'm sure he found mine somehow!

Decent, original and hard working people like yourselves are always the ones who have to suffer the perils of the chart music industry, which is a crock of you know what. There are great musicians with great stuff who cannot even get a look in, and this angers me. Although some people dont particularly like it, I am glad that the 2nd coming of Britrock is transpiring, anything that will spare the masses from the commerialised/ring tone vomit and target market rip-offs.

I am all for talented and highly original musicians of any genre and continue to advocate the case of veteran artists who still do great stuff but beacuse of history or lack of promotion, chance and rude disrespect simply dont get the chance that they and their records deserve.
