Mark Wahlberg and a group of his mates were supposed to get onto one of the flights that went into one of the towers, but they decided the day before to attend a film festival in Toronto instead. Seth McFarlane, creator of Family Guy and such, was also supposed to be on one of those flights but missed his check-in time by 10 minutes after his travel agent mixed up the times.

I've heard of the McFarlane one before.
 
My auntie had some kind of relative living in New York who was likely to have been in the towers when they were hit.....

But she is fairly bat-shit crazy and makes up crap all the time*, so we never believed her and I dont think it's true



(she actually once tried saying that her then 3 year old son (my cousin) stole her credit card and he used it to purchase a whole lot of crap as an explanation to why her credit card bill was so high)
