The Countdown Begins

Well, here we are again. Carlton fans spent the offseason chest-thumping about flags, and now, they’re warming up the torches and pitchforks for their own coach.

Michael Voss walked into the job as a "master motivator," but it turns out he’s just a glorified gym instructor with a clipboard. The game plan? A mystery. The midfield? Lost. The defense? More holes than a slice of Swiss cheese.

If history tells us anything, Carlton will do what Carlton does best—pull the trigger, sack the coach, and start another five-year ‘reset.’ Who’s next in line? Ross Lyon? Brendan Bolton 2.0? Maybe they’ll bring back Mick Malthouse for one last rodeo.

So, grab the popcorn, folks. The only thing more inevitable than Carlton finishing mid-table is the club chopping another coach before the dust settles on another wasted season.

Discuss. 😆🍻

Maybe they can get Kern... a cuddly H&A specialist sounds just like what they need

The problem with being a 'master motivator' is you have to have players that actually want to win... and more than one who is capable of doing it

Brett Ratten could turn this mob around.

Give him another whirl. I’d also be interested to see how red he is now.
I don’t believe they should have sacked him back then. As for Voss wasn’t successful with Brisbane either.

mid-table sounds like a challenge but OK

The best thing about Carlton being impatient is that the two coaches that they have over corrected on and tried to stick fat with in Bolton and Voss have both been hopeless
Time to bring Ratten back. lol

I am starting to think we should give Voss another year and get rid of the slacker players who have let this club down time and time again.

At some point, the vicious Carlton circle of sacking coaches every 3 years needs to stop.

Carlton has had 31 senior coaches since its inception, with several departures being involuntary. Similarly, Richmond and St Kilda have undergone numerous coaching changes over the years. It's important to note that not all coaching departures are classified as sackings; some coaches resign or retire.

Ian Stewart was forced out of the Carlton coaching job for extremely undisclosed and very unsavoury reasons (which I will not reveal here but personally I think he should kicked out of the Hall of Fame like Barry Cable)
